The buffs had a huge walk in this week apparently :thumbsu:

Could be awkward when the captain of the club gets pushed to the bench or even the ressies

Could this be because they thought were not coming back.

Just a thought. :rolleyes::):D

Thanks to everyone at the Beenleigh Football Club for hosting the UQ red lions to a great day of footy. A win and a loss to each of us left it at a pretty even day.
Good bunch of guys who played the ball and not the man in an outing which we at UQ really enjoyed. Thanks so much lads!

Cheers old man. How was the fella who dislocated his elbow I think it was???

Great day for us yesterday. Both grades got the win against a new style Griffith Moorooka. They certainly didn't come out to make friends and in patches played a style that really choked up the scoring in both grades.

Quite a few Magpies this morning very glad we have the bye next week! Myself included. :D

Any truth to the rumor that the Logan senior coach punched the living suitcase out of two of his players parents after the game at Ipswich??

What's there new style? Judging by your comments a full press?? Pretty physical at the ball and man?

Bingo! A couple of their lads having a week off next week as a result.

Very strong press and flooded defence.

Their supporters are very vocal and disappointingly not a single beer was shared after the game.

That's ordinary, should be mandatory to at least buy a beer for the trip home if you can't stay and have one!

There Physicality obviously got them no where, not much good having blokes missing out.

My interpretation thugs that play boring footy! IMO

Congrats on a good win

Perhaps just a couple of over zealous individuals. Not a big fan of celebrating and high gives when those people who got sent off get to the bench. Anyway was a different GM than I have experienced in the past.

It will be certainly an interesting game v Logan next week.

Certainly will be!

New sheriffs at Moorooka, shows there mentality when they are giving high fives to blokes being sent off!

Logan won't stand for any of that crap, especially the big bald fella lol!

Got them on the scoreboard that's all that counts mate!

Disappointingly not a single beer was shared after the game.

This surprises me. Something we may have to discuss as a playing group.

You guys are a top side and certainly look like the team to beat this year. Game felt closer than the margin suggested, but that's something we will be working hard on.

Don't forget to add to the agenda - Why do we get flogged each weak and have done for years!

In patches it certainly was a great tussle in both grades and at stages the scoreboard would've looked out of place to a neutral supporter.

Good improvement in many aspects and pressure on the ball carrier was good.

I'm sure Morro and the Buffs are loving us being labelled "the team to beat". Surely they'll love being under people's radar ;)

This league provides many surprises come the end of the year! Something Nambour would know all too well from last year.

I think you need to pull your head in! IMO

From what I saw Moorooka lacked a bit poise at the back under pressure.
Had good ball movement through the middle.
No real structure up forward.
AS the game slipped away increasingly went the man not the ball.

We havent done anything to suggest otherwise mate, whilst you guys continue to destroy every team you play. All roads lead to Coomera as the team to beat. We just hope to keep improving each week as our new side gets to know one another.
