Club 1870/Black Diamond seats are supposedly the best in the house, but at twilight games wouldn't the sun be shining basically directly at that part of the ground?

Couldn't you say that for the entire Eastern stand?

Exactly, so why do Club 1870/Black Diamond and the Platinum seats on the first tier cost more than the Essential Power seats on the Western side of the ground?

Fair enough question but doesn't the same apply at aami? Friends who sit there have never had a problem.

FF may be the best person to answer - you're that side aren't you Ford?

I also note the question was probably directed more towards the best point.

Yeah, my seat is on the Eastern side at Aami, and the light when the suns about to set is pretty annoying.

Leigh Whicker told me confidentially that due the traitorous manner in which the Port Adelaide Football Club tried to join the AFL and then managed to leave "his" stadium for Port Adelaide Oval the sun will cease to shine in South Australia in the evening of Saturday the 31st of August 2013.

So as you can see it wont be an issue.

Never bothered me at the cricket. Sunglasses, problem solved.

I guess that works. I've actually gotta get into the habit of taking my sunnies with me everywhere now.

Yup.

Its funny to think that the members stand may end up being the `people's stand' with so much good real estate locked away for corporates on the east.

Right now I'm thinking rolling the dice with a BD membership in 2014 and downgrading to Essential the year after if the BD seats aren't as absolutely ball-tearingly awesome as has been promised.

$155 for Silver concession season ticket (11 games). Pretty happy with that considering I paid $100 for a 3-game membership this year.

I'll be aiming to sit at the Southern End and maybe even sneak into the Gold area when crowds are down :p
