The captain did walk out... and that was the undoing of McCartney. Griffen said to them he was staying then backflipped without any notice. Think you may wanna read a bit further.
I read plenty TJB, IMO Griffin walked as he was forced into a position he wasn't comfortable with, forced into a face to face with the coach ( a coach that had the backing of the board). and then prompted on the spot for an answer as to whether he was happy with the outcome, towed the company line until he had time to mull it over. And then decided he couldn't do it, he never bagged the club or the coach publicly, Gordon can't say the same.

Plus whilst Griffins decision was the catalyst to the coaches downfall it was by no means the only reason

Should trade Gorringe to the Crows for 31 and then on trade it for Hallahan. Whether the Crows want him is another story.
I really like Hallahan but not a swap for Gorringe. We just don't have a number 1 ruck and it took Goldstein & Cox 4 years to become overnight sensations. We need to see if any of them make that jump next season before we move them on for nothing. Hallahan should be for our #47 & we get around #20 for Gorringe.

This on the AFL site:

Negotiations are continuing between Gold Coast and Hawthorn for Hawks midfielder Mitch Hallahan. Gold Coast is reluctant to use its second-round selection, No.29, in a trade for Hallahan. But the Suns are hoping to use that pick to either get two selections – one of which would get the deal done – or exchange its pick No.29 for Hallahan and the Hawks' pick No.43.

Can someone please, in layman's terms, explain the type of player Hallahan is and how he will contribute to the Suns and help boost what we're missing? Thanks :)

Inside mid who wins a contested ball and feeds it out by hand. This allows O'Meara & Prestia to get on the end of it & hurt teams- rather than them getting it out.

Trading from our 2 biggest rivals the last 2 weeks has heated up...Lions now have an impressive midfield with Beams, Rockliff, Rich, Christensen, Redden. As does the Giants adding Griffen into their midfield brigade.

Giants weakened though in 2015 with Patton out for the year, Giles and now Boyd gone.

Hey guys

Dogs fan here. We were rumoured to be interested in Henry schade earlier in the year. Understand he's contracted but do you think he's available and at what price??

Cheers
For what you'd offer, we'd be better off keeping him. We are supposedly spending a lot more on development & he will benefit.

Yet to debut for us in the 1sts, but it could very well be because of McKenna playing favourites so it's a tough decision as to whether he'd be traded. It would all depend on the return. I doubt the club would put in 3 years of work into someone only to let him go without having played a game, but you never know!

With tomorrow being the last day of the trade period, it'd have to wait until next year anyway unless something quick and unexpected happens haha. Schade might get some games into him next year too, who knows!
