Righto flogbuckets,
after a nominations thread which can only be described as 'robust', the time has come to put your money where your mouth is - welcome to the 2015 Bay 13 Flog of the Year voting thread.
After wading through 50 odd pages of unadulterated shit, 14 of the most flogworthy candidates have emerged, and are listed (in no particular order) in the poll above. Each poster receives 4 votes to dispense as they see fit.
A brief summary of the credentials of each candidate is as follows:
General Giant - a somewhat surprising inclusion, this candidates credentials have been boosted by the voting of a select group of sore anoos Freo flogs. Will this flogs recent momentum thrust him into FOTY immortality?
RIOLIUSTAR - a long time campaigner and general flog merchant, it will surprise no-one that RUS finds himself on this list. A smoky to go all the way.
Collingw2010d - a low key yet consistent flog, it is doubtful this campaigner has the backing to make serious claims here.
apparentlydead - while absent for most of the year, this veteran flog has risen to prominence since his re-emergence several weeks ago. A decent each way chance.
Tiggy Tiger - the highest nomination getter and the peoples favourite, TT's floggery credentials are well documented. The question is, does he want it too much?
craffles - a late charge sees the cheeseboy make the cut over some more seasoned candidates. A legitimate chance, or merely making up the numbers?
TazHawk15 - the 2014 winner backs up again this year, his general and undisputed floggery has him a better than decent chance to go back to back.
Hawkk - a flog who was consistently nominated early on, it remains to be seen whether Hawkk has the voting chops to pull this one out. One thing is for sure, he'll be doing the statictical analysis on his chances as we speak.
Wiggo4PM - while his roots in floggery have long been established, Wiggo has gone to a new level in 2015. One of the legitimate chances to go all the way here.
CrazyKenny - the rookie of the field, Kenny's floggery credentials are legit - but does he have enough support to challenge some of his highly fancied competitors?
Alfred_ - despite a lengthy, enforced hiatus Alfred has made a strong case since his return. The question is, will he be more focused on the pending mod endorsed AWOTY, for which he is (along with JoseMourinho) the raging favourite?
subaru - a favourite for this award amongst veteran Bay 13 voters, this poster returned for extended periods this season, only to be run out of town in disgrace. An outside chance for a top 3 finish.
CarnDaTiggs - a truly floggish poster, Jade's has all the prerequistes to finally take out this years FOTY - despite getting himself banned on voting eve (as usual). His price has been slashed from $3000 on opening day, to $900 a few weeks ago, to joint favouritism at the time of writing.
bombersfan4000 - it says something about this guys general floggery that he could poll so well despite only fleeting appearances on the Bay of late. A popular choice among Hawf and Pies flogs, bf4000 would need to put in some serious campaigning to feature prominently here.
Despite receiving more than enough nominations to make this list DaVillaBlues will not be considered - his powder will be kept dry for the award he is truly suited to, the AWOTY.
As per usual elias votes will not be counted, and blatant elias involvement will see the offending poster firm as legitimate AWOTY contenders
In addition, the 'winner' of this prestigious award will also receive a two week holiday from all things Bay 13, so choose wisely.
The poll will be open for one week, at the end of which a new bastion of internet floggery will be crowned - the 2015 Bay 13 FOTY.
