Can someone explain to me how this works exactly? Is it as a BigFooty community that we sponsor a select group of players with a pool money raised or is it something I can do as individual, where I can pick my favourite player or someone from the draft i've taken a liking to as my sponsored player i.e. Menadue

For BigFooty this is what we do:
Basically it's $1500 per sponsorship but we divide it by 20 to get a single share at $75 each. We then sponsor a player as "BigFooty Richmond Supporter Group". We take as many shares as people want to contribute, it's completely voluntary, and we sponsor as many players as we get enough money for. In 2013 we sponsored McIntosh, Houli and Knights. In 2014 we sponsored the same 3 and McBean.

One of the sponsor benefits is we get our name on the players locker. Example:

There's a bunch of other stuff we get in return for sponsoring that gets raffled off to those with shares:
  • One invitation to the player sponsor dinner with a tour of the Richmond Change-Room by the sponsored player
  • Signed jumper by sponsored player
  • Signed photo with your sponsored player
We use random.org to get the winners with 1 share = 1 chance in the draw. BigFooty also lets us put badges under the names of people that have sponsored a player, see under my name for an example, with 1 player name per share. When we add the badges we'll remove all the current names people have but they'll still have the "13" or "14" if they've contributed in the last 2 years. Then we'll add a "15" and sponsor names. On top of this you get BigFooty Platinum/Gold depending on how much you contribute.

After we get numbers Heisenberg_ (I think he's doing it again this year) will give people the account details to transfer money into and make the payment to the club for us.
 
Some say he can't be seen at social events and he dresses as Jack for away games and takes the field.
All we know he's called the Stig.

To all those involved in organising and setting up the players sponsorship, thanks for the effort.

During the year, you take a little more notice of your sponsored player, which gives you an extra element to analyse. I highly recommend those that can be a part of it to get involved.
Just a question RFC_Official , do the players get a % of the funds donated? I'm sure most of the dollars go to the football department and paying for the players sponsors dinner. I was just curious and I totally understand if you cannot provide the information, as the details are to be kept in house.

I'm in for 1 share but can probably be convinced for a second if you're struggling. I broke even last year by snaring the signed McBean Jumper. I would like the player sponser dinner next year! :)

What I want to know is who scored the signed photo with me and Houli?
Someone has me on their bedroom wall and im not quite sure im comfortable with that.
