He wasnt getting reps at QB because he wasnt cleared to pass by the DR or was told he could only do x amount of passes. but was going to be 3rd string and they lacked depth at WR. also so he has a chance to get drafted.

Rare athleticism though. Not everyone can do that. Sports science did a little bit on it. Only lost ~15% of his speed which is insane
