damn wingard is so good at that price. shame he isn't fit. looking for value in that price bracket and t.mitch is the only other one that jumps out at me
Taylor Walker @ 430k?

Yes he's a KPF but the captaincy might bring the best out of him, food for thought anyway..

considered TeX and JJK as well... but if they dont score goals they don't get points. and I dont see the crows or eagles making top 6 this year
Fair enough.

FWIW the only KPF I have is Buddy Franklin.

I'm not even getting him this year.. too many mids in the fwd line at that price up for grabs

Shouldn't matter

Buddy is buddy and will only get better...he's a beast

Yeah but Franklin is a different player altogether, you should know this lol..

I have Deledio, Goddard, Franklin & Swan as my spine in the FWDS.

dont get me wrong... buddy is a freak and everyone knows it. just playing with my head not my heart.. I usually don't have many swans in my sc teams unless they're really good value for money

Buddy isn't bad value this year, there's just much more better value in the forwards this year.

Article on AFL.com on Wellingham.

Hes FWD mid and $375K. What did he average at the pies?
Im pretty sure his low scores last season were due to no pre season.
Could he average 90+?
Used as a tagger and has never averaged more than 81.5 so would say no.

Can't see him averaging close to 90

In 2012 (his dominant year) he scored 11 hundred with another 3 scores of 90 plus.

Ill agree that he wont give you 92 each week but he could end up one of the best forwards in SC this year.

As for the coleman medal, $17.00 at the TAB is a steal IMHO.
What he did in 2012 has no relevance to now as that was before his knee reco. Don't think he will end up in the top 10 scoring forwards and I can see him frustrating you week to week

What are people's thoughts on Jack Ziebell at $449k. Should get alot of midfield minutes in a North side that should be top 8, has the ability to kick goals, coming into prime age at 24

Personally think Swan is better value, think he will get back to 100+

I seriously considered him.. hasnt shown me enough yet to live up to his hype. would rather invest an extra 50k and get someone who can finish in the top 10 fwds for the year

I hear you Kananooks, but tactically I'd prefer the strategic advantage selecting a bolter like Ziebell would give you.
Swan reminds me of an ageing boxing champ that wants one more fight. The injuries are piling up, the wrist really worries me, I hope Im wrong because I love swannie the footballer but I can see him declining steadily. Swan may still have big, match winning games but can he do it consistently over the course of a season? He doesn't seem as physically resilient as some other players in that age/phase of their career.
I believe Ziebell will out score Swan on aggregate.

I do not understand why people are so confident Swan will return to his high scoring ways.
He has had multiple surgeries (some relatively recent) on his hips (a big problem for a running player) and surgeries on his wrists.
There is at least as much chance he will not recover his scoring rates of yesteryear.
