2015 Western Australian Draft Prospects

I know what you are saying but the Academies have undeniably worked for footy development up here.
It is a fine line, you could say COLA was good AFL in Sydney and Brisbane but it also meant other teams didn't win a premierships.

Surely the Western clubs would have the incentive for a stronger representation of WA players seeing as the majority of their squads would have to come from here.
Haha - We don't have the cash to through a million dollar at WA development for next to no pay off.

Any thoughts on who will make 2015 draft for WA

I've kind of given up on this years group and i haven't seen them play as much this year but.

Cal Ah Che, Dylan Smith, Greg Clark are the three that i think will get drafted for sure.

Bailey Rogers, Kade Stewart, Levi Ridley, Josh Schoenfeld, Marshall Jones, Jack Watson are the players i'd look to as a group for other draftees.

Do you see any 18 year olds who didn't make state 18s having a chance?

I like Wright from the EP colts ... getting big numbers - a Bussleton boy come up to the city. I would like the eagles to at least rookie him.

Wright is not old enough for draft this year. Don't see too many WA boys getting drafted this year, could only get one WA boy in all Australian team after 18s Championships and that was on the interchange and was an underage player. Looks like only 3 to 4 are getting a look in on the Phantom drafts and they are AIS kids, so that shows you that with elite training talent can be produced.

Someone else mentioned ( posted ) about Warwick Wilson from SD , great poise and skill ....can play defence but best probably wing in the future as he has a bit of height . Hope he makes it as he is good to watch , The West Australian gave him a good wrap the other day which shows he is being noticed .

Last year I thought Stewart would be a certain player to be drafted, he will need a big end to the season to get drafted in the main draft. Ridley is the player from that group that really interests me and I would consider picking him late in the draft.

How about MarshaLL Jones from Perth!
goals in each of his last games in league and from all reports has been tearing up school/colts

Any opinions on Marcus Adams is he areal chance to make the grade at AFL level? havent seen much of him playing so no idea myself.

I seriously rate him. Built like a brick wall but also is extremely quick and is the sort of player that jumps into a making contest with 10 other players and comes out with a mark... Can definitely see him getting picked up and would love him at freo

I think Aden Wilkins is a chance, missed state 18's because of injury

Wasn't invited to the sate Combine. Quick and a good size at 188cm, AFL clubs must have crossed him off quickly during the middle of the year.

That surprises me considering the talent and depth they already have at his position.

We don't have a lot of depth on the 3rd tall defender roll. Johnson is great at it, but is 30. Ibbotson is 27, and can play the role for him as well.

He is a great replacement for both players, and would come at a cheap price.
