Pies at 2.75 looking good even if it is at ES. They've beaten some good sides this year. Past two weeks beat GWS at home and pushed the Crows in Adelaide which is no mean feat. Hoping the stats come up for sportsbet before the line comes in so I can jump on it for their promo.

Edit: looks like odds are out at Sportsbet and it's already in to 2.5

Jumped on Essendon 40+@$5 too

Adelaide @ $2.60+ :thumbsu:
I was looking at this too until I saw Adelaide's Away record against Geelong.

In the last 10, Geelong has won 8/10 times at home against Adelaide, their only two wins coming in the 2000 season.
If you're looking to take advantage of SB's Lead at any break offer then it doesn't look too good either with Adelaide only leading at 1 major break in their 8 losses (1st Quarter, 2004 season) (A lead in 1/32 quarters).

$50 - Collingwood SU @ $2.50 (Sports)

$50 - Adelaide SU @ $2.60 (Sports)

$50 - Freo SU @ $2.55 (Sports)

Also added a cheeky multi
Pies +10.5 into Blues +56.5 into Freo +11.5 into West Coast SU into Crows +11.5 into Doggies SU into Hawks SU @ $21.38 - $10

Took these yesterday.

I'm still not sold on the idea of Essendon scoring 100+ in a game of football.

I'm still not sold on the idea of Essendon scoring 100+ in a game of football.

They scored 98 vs St Kilda, 90 vs GWS in recent weeks, both sides far superior to Brisbane. Essendon are performing much better at home this year than they are away and Brisbane are even more dire away than they are at home.

My big question mark is actually over Brisbanes ability to kick 100. They kick much higher scores at home than they do away.

Scored 113 the other week away to the Gold Coast, another poor team defensively. Over looks the play here IMO.

Can see little defence in this game. Shoot out on the cards
I can't see this as being a shootout.

There is much on the line for these two teams despite how poor they have been this year. For Essendon it's the chance at a second win having built some decent form of late and for Brisbane a loss (especially a big loss) will result in even more scrutiny on Leppa and possibly career ending for some players.

Both teams would be thinking that the game is winnable if they can apply enough pressure and use the ball well.

Both teams have been poor defensively, but they are also poor offensively as well. Could go either way on the totals...

That "away" game was only an hour or so down the road to Metricon against the Suns. Brisbane are absolutely horrible in Melbourne, and they've hit rock bottom. I'd be putting the total score at around 175-180 - tops, and Essendon to get the win.

Exactly, when you are sleeping in your own bed and not getting on a plane it takes away a lot of the travel factor

Yep. Brisbane going to Metricon is like a Melbourne team traveling to Simmonds Stadium in Geelong. It's a bus trip. The Lions aren't a cohesive unit at all. Getting on a plane for an away game at Etihad, they'll be even worse, if that's possible. The Lions are very young, very inexperienced and very underdone. Essendon have their tails up after nearly snatching their past two games. They won't let this one slip and I think they'll crack the magic 100 points. Brisbane will be lucky to get 60-75 points.

A supporter bagging their own team somehow sounds more convincing. Im throwing money on the under. Good luck

LOL! Yeah, a long suffering one. The rose-coloured glasses were tossed away a while ago ;) I'm not that one-eyed that I can't see the gaping holes. Massive problems at the club. You can't have that off-field pressure and win games.

Anyone liking the Suns at -9.5 pts?GC have Lynch and Wright who will cause our back six big problems IMO,which should be enough to cover the -9.5pts.

I think we'll be without pav,Barlow and ballas too.

and GC are without Ablett and Rischitelli. I've got my money on Fremantle personally
