Carlton supporters have rallied behind the Club this season, with the Blues hitting 50,000 members in 2016.

This milestone has not been achieved since the club broke its all-time membership record in 2013.

Announced on Tuesday, the Club has eclipsed its 2015 membership tally of 47,305.

Off the back of the Club’s #BoundByBlue membership campaign launch last year, Carlton recorded 30,000 members before Christmas in 2015 for the first time in its history.

How convenient wonderful!

We have to be happy with that.
The romance of the off-season had us thinking 55K but the reality proved that was always going to be next to impossible.

Not often that the wooden spooner will have a spike in membership the following year.
There's a good platform for growth and if we do add 10% next year, we would have done very well.

Perhaps had we gotten off to a better start might have made a small difference, but as you say Harks we're coming from the bottom of the ladder with a whole host of new players. A 10% increase would be fantastic, as this would mean we'd achieve 55k. :thumbsu:

I think that will be the aim. It just makes sense doesn't it?
We are now becoming a more inclusive club, have our own womens team and dare I say it............starting to look a little sexy.

55K next year has to be the aim to strive for and after that who knows?
Should the Silvagni name take off (Ben included)......a daring game style.....good results and maybe even a finals appearance, the numbers could swell.

A ~10% gain over just the next three years would get us nudging the 70K mark......we just have to get on a roll.....the right roll, this time.

They didn't lose them.....just haven't listed real numbers.

Sydney is unbelievable though. 56K............That's ridiculous.

I wonder why that is?

Buddy the big reason Sydney have improved? It's not like they fell off performance wise or anything. It's a big jump.
I reckon the whole Buddy saga last year plus Sydney's big start to the year (assuming they haven't changed how they come to their total vs. last year).

They look a good chance to be there on Grand Final day if Buddy and Tippett are right for September.

11th on the table for Memberships.
We don't know the revenue values but if all things are equal, we'll need to get a lot stronger than this.
Who would have thought Hawthorn to be on top of this ladder? Unthinkable only a few years ago.

Carltons immediate ambition should be to have more members than Essendon, but it just won't happen next year.
