Quigley just posted his incredibly in depth draft rankings.
Interesting notes (as far as discussion in this thread goes): Rates SPS at #1, Brodie #5, Florent #9, Parfitt #10 (I'll have to read that one because I've hardly heard of him).
Clarke #19, Fisher #20, Mutch #22 Interesting because they're three mids that are a good chance to be available at our picks in the 30s but I think Clarke will bolt into the 20s.
Also has a few favourites rated much lower than consensus such as Scrimshaw at #31, Hayward at #33, Drew at #51 and Venables at #52.

Aligns with my views pretty well because I'm keen on some sort of combo of Brodie/Florent, Clarke/Mutch and Fisher. Think that would have us walking away with three driven and natural footballers.

Quigley is flipping clueless.

Haha really? Haven't really paid attention to his phantoms in the past. Goes into a great amount of detail, seems to have watched the juniors a lot.

Yeah I stared reading his shit, then one year he made mention that he'd seen some players once ( or not at all) and was writing a ****ing thesis on them. Twat. Better off sticking to journos like Brett Anderson who seem to, or get their info fro people who have half a clue.

I hope the people getting hot and sweaty over Brodie realise he is a worse kick than Gibson.

Brett Anderson is alright. Gets fed a few tapes and forms an opinion. Trying to get that media niche, Cheltenham FC junkie and posts under superfreak

Lol so either we listen to every one of the draft analysts who say he is above average by position, or we listen to a Bigfooty expert who says he is shocking? No idea where this is coming from mate

Ok, so which of the draft experts said he is a good kick?

Wouldn't take his stuff as gospel, blantantly says that he doesn't get to see a lot of underage footy. I don't understand how you can Make out you have such in depth knowledge when you don't get to see many games. Often he has a few risers and sliders just for the sake of and to stand out/having discussion points

His profiles read very much like he is judging the players in their current form though, not what they could become, which is why we're not paid to be recruiters.

I have two concerns:

1. 45%
2. 3.15

Stats don't tell the whole story but those two combined scream "B-grader" to me. Happy to be proven wrong if we pick him though :thumbsu:

I'll take B graders whilst we still have C graders running through there.

Ok so here is my random player that I'd love to draft but we're probably not even looking at. When I first read about him I dismissed him as just a medium forward. but then Callum Towmey said people have compared him to Fyfe so I thought I'd watch his tape.

Will Hayward. Obviously he played mainly as a forward, but he looked like he played wing in the all-star game. Great hands, just as good with the ball in the air as at his feet. 6'1". Can kick a booming goal. He is quick enough to play midfield (Top few in the 20m sprint) I know people want pure mids and so do I, but I think this guy has potential AFL star written all over him.

Emma Q does the group with North in it today - http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/afl-draft-2016-clubbyclub-guide-part-two-20161118-gsson1.html

North could have a very interesting decision to make at pick 11, always a handy spot to be in the draft given it only takes one club to do something a little bit different for someone good to slip out. The way that things are shaping up this year there is a very good chance that player could be Will Brodie, a big inside midfielder. North needs some run and speed, and players like Oliver Florent and Jy Simpkin could bring that. Brodie might give them more of what they've already got plenty of, but what if he is way above the others on their list? And what if Florent and Simpkin are both gone? It could be an interesting call. Jordan Gallucci is another who may be considered as is Will Hayward, if more a bouncy forward at this point, while Daniel Venables has, between foot injuries, played with some power in the middle and up forward. Isaac Cummings could be considered later on, and the club has done some work on Cedric Cox. He's a rough chance to make it to their second pick, but if they really want him they would need to take him first to be sure they will get him, knowing there will be a bunch of other midfield options still available when they come to pick again. North will have a new look next year and it will be interesting to follow the emergence of players already at the club (Sam Durdin, Ben McKay, Ed Vickers-Willis, Daniel Nielsen) while seeing how Luke McDonald, Taylor Garner, Mason Wood and others go with being handed the keys to the team's future.

He's an interesting one,a real bolter,so much so that some have him top 10. He was a late invitation to draft night so someone must know something.

It's a strange one as he struggled a bit at the champs, and most of his exposed form is SANFL u18s which isn't a really high standard (same comp Parfitt got 47 touches or something). He is also quite short for the role he projects to being, a Gunston-style mobile forward.

Certainly has some tricks though. I guess no one knows how these kids will go in a professional environment and that's what recruiters are paid to determine.
