Don't think anyone minds when you post your opinion on outcomes of games etc., it's the baseless statements you occasionally make that piss some people off. The statement you made regarding the Coomera reserves not fielding a side for the rest of the season back in May/June takes the cake. Absolutely no excuse for that-- they're the sort of comments that should be backed by solid facts and when exposed as crap, as that comment has been, should be followed by an apology and or, a retraction. To be fair, you weren't the only one who posted bullshit re that issue.

i should have qualified it with, 'without permits' as a proviso, but to be fair - that probably applies to quite a few clubs reserves.
 
Not sure, I live near Alexander Park - so I watched Woodsmen home games all year in 2014 and UQ last year.

This year I haven't been to as many, but maybe about 10 or so. If there is a decent game nearby (Chelmer, UQ, Yeronga, Coorparoo, Colly Park) I will generally go to it on a Friday night. Not that there were any good games at Yeronga

I was watching every week earlier in the season, but got a bit sick of it as the games were really scrappy in the middle of the season and the standard seemed to drop. I'll go to Sandgate this Friday though.

Whether the coached moved interstate or was infact sacked it's still the same result isn't it? That is, he is no longer there
 
Surely this has become the laughing stock of all Australian football and the powers to be at the HQ of afl Queensland need to intervene.
The Jimboomba Redbacks have to be in damage control if they are now into coach number 3 for the season and have some explaining to do.
In saying that it needs to come from within their Committee not any of their players hiding behind fake names on here.

Afl Queensland need also to explain how they have allowed one club designed to play on Friday nights force all their opposition to venture to Jimboomba on Saturdays only to allocate them a Friday night final at home for two weeks pending they get over the line this week.
This is just not acceptable and l feel sorry for the guy having to make the trip this Friday and next Friday.
Also the rumours doing the rounds that certain Park Ridge guys are behind a constant attack on the Redbacks team to try and parachute a certain 2nds coach into the senior position their next season need to be questioned.

Of the two coaches used already in 2016 has anybody outside of the club spoken with either of them since their departure,both guys were sitting 3rd on the ladder with positive win records one was sacked the other just ups and go's what's their point of view on all this.

This is nothing but embarrassing for the league who l doubt will be hoping that this season ends quicker than it started however somewhere along the line those pulling the string in Jimboomba should really be hanging their head in shame and let's hope they call time on running a football club ever game.

I'm big Mal and to be truthful I'm ashamed that Afl football has reached this point thank god we have masters without the political crap.

The league only looks foolish allowing a club to play Saturday's in a Friday comp when they clearly have the ability with their oval to play Friday. It's bizarre and just as putrid as last year when they allowed Kedron the same luxury.

As for the coaches, clubs can do as they please. This doesn't reflect on the league at all. Only the club.

What a joke. No one from the
park ridge playing group is making attacks on anyone from the Redbacks. At the Pirates there are ex Redback players, Also some
Pirates have family connections out at jimboomba. The two clubs do not hate each other at all. To sit there and say the Pirates are making attacks to help Thier 2nds coach get a senior gig next year is a complete joke. Look at the Pirates ressies record this year.. Their reserves coach is doing a fantastic job and if he gets a senior gig next year it would be because he deserved it.

So heard it here first the only gig I want away from pirates is longy's board man out eagles

Wow big mal, you sound very upset. The laughing stock of Australian football you say, aflq intervention, the committee having to explain themselves??? I doubt anyone outside of the jimboomba fc give a rats, their committee only need to give explanation to their members and as for aflq intervention -- what do you expect them to do ? And as for you being ashamed of afl football, what the hell does jimboomba's situation have anything to do with the rest of tha afl world. Get a grip big fella, I'm sure we will all get over this.
 
Have no stats to back this up but I'm certain that there are a lot of footy clubs that don't even know jimboomba have a footy side.
But then again 92% of statistics are made up on the spot.
Not sure everyone in aflq have heard of them either.
 
Ok so, in regards to our coach, fraser was the assistant coach when maggot was coaching, he took over the role because he is a great bloke and a great footy brain, we actually thought that he might be the coach for the next few years, unfortunately(for the club) his misses has quite the brain on her shoulders and is a high paid engineer who got a great job opportunity down in Canberra and they had to jump at the opportunity! Unfortunate for us that it's at the wrong time of year, Frase is a great coach and will be welcomed back any time to have a role at any level.
The lights... As I said a few days ago the lights have been getting fixed for the last couple of weeks and should now be finished. as for being upset that jimboomba get a Friday night home game in a final, why not if the lights are now fixed, what's the upset?. Can't win haha
And as for parky boys saying stuff well that's just a joke! That one was way out of left field and not worth comment! A few jimmy boys have been there over the years and played and came back, some stayed. If we had blokes wanting to travel to play I would think they would be going down the coast or into brisbane.
And we by no means think the colly boys will be easy beats this week! They have some outstanding players to come back into the team so it will definitely be a hotly contested one! Can't wait!!!
