Whoever gets first use of the footy will win the game......

Gee MASSIVE prediction there. I guess who ever kicks the higher score will win also... ??

Nosense you continue to sound like an Auskick coach that thinks he's coaching Hawthorn.

You have no idea about AFL!!!

Forgive me, im sure with useful insights such as "first to the ball wins the game" your mate could coach Hawthorn tomorrow.
Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy the banter on here, particularly when there's a bit of back and forth, but do you have anything else in your smart arse kitbag apart from high school sarcasm ? Lift your game mate.

Maybe we'll discuss how the jimboomba boys seem to think UQ are no good yet they've lost once to them this year and won the other match in very dubious circumstances.

I hope UQ get up Friday night to prove all the doubters wrong who think they'll go out in straight sets ...

They are a decent side and will work until the final whistle as they are very fit. I mentioned a few pages back that UQ didn't have much of a plan and banged it down the line more often than not...which probably won't work against a side such as Jimboomba who set up well behind the ball. That's just what I've seen though on the few times I've watched them, mostly on dewy nights as well where a wet weathered style is preferred over finesse. The question is do UQ have the skill to switch play and bring it back through the middle on a bigger deck?

UQ managed to beat Jimboomba last time they played just over a month ago. If they meet in one of the finals it will be on a Friday night with possibility of being a bit dewy. Surely a 50/50 proposition?

Don't think the jimmy boys underestimate the uq team. We clearly got beaten by them last time and the dubious circumstances you talk of weren't anythjng to do with the team. We have nothing but respect for the uq team and those who didn't would have been humbled last time we played them. It's ok Colin to dislike jimmy but to say we think uq are no good is a long way off the mark. We will take it week by week. Not even thinking about UQ yet just the woodies this week!

Your mate Redbackboy92 seems to think they are soft as butter and will go out in straight sets...

Not sure if it means anything at this level, but does it concern anyone that the winner of the UQ v Zillmere game on Friday will then have played 1 game of footy in 28 days by the time Grand Final eve rolls around? Welcome any/all insights, especially if you have designs on coaching the mighty Hawks.

In all honesty I don't see why there is no final 5 setup for finals, works in the grades above

Not sure how everybody else feels about it but you don't forget how to play. Both teams would still be training keeping skills and touch on the footy up with fitness at this time of year should already be where it should. Then the time off gives everybody the chance to get their bodies 100% right from injuries/niggling corks or knocks etc.

Both teams have had a successful year thus far and would still be feeling confident. When it comes to winning/getting to a grand final it's all about timing your run and getting everybody on the list set for the big games/game to finish off a successful year.

I don't think it would be bothering UQ or Zillmere. But that's just my opinion.

Any thoughts on the woodies and redbacks this Friday. Will the woodies continue to prove the knockers wrong and put another team to the sword.
Can the redbacks live up to thier own hype and get away with a win.
I think the woodies experience and never give up attitude will see them get the chocolates.
If they can get on top early the redbacks could possibly imploded and let another opportunity pass them by.
Will be interested in seeing how the structures work when you have three big forwards to match up on.

Mika v Guise, will a wise head prevail?
Woodies strength seem to have the stronger targets that take the contested grabs. If they play direct to those targets that could prevent Jimboomba from generating run, making all defenders accountable instead of spreading to be targets for the switch.

The people want to see a Woodies win. According to the recent census the majority of the population feel that Jimboomba are a bunch of plonkers.

Dillon is the key player. Is a class above nearly all in the comp and if he has a night out, it will make it easier for Guise and Watson to do as they please. Both teams can fire, easier week last week for the reddies and that will be the difference.

Must have been a lot doing that census. I tried to log on but the page was down.

I've seen first hand that the woodies get better from hard games. Shouldn't be an issue.

How many games you seen them in this year?
Only the ones they played on the Northside. Watching quietly by myself and can see they still have the talent. Looks like they save thier best side for finals.
They have to do it the hard way this year but the burning desire to make up for last year will drive them.
Experienced finals campaigners who if they string four quarters together won't let it slip.
IMO it's thier only flaw and if they concentrate on that it will be good enough
If redbacks exploit a bad quarter it could well be the difference.
Just my humble opinion.

Breaking news: New evidence suggests that Jimboomba could not have changed the scorecards as it has been confirmed that none of them can read a scorecard let alone write on a scorecard..

Either way, kids off his head!!! I don't mind chat when it's good. But mate maybe get around the boys and come up with something better!!! In other news Dillon will be signing autographs after the game on friday night. He will be fresh tho, pulled a groin at tonight's training and will be out this week. Hopefully we get through with a big out like that!
