I think Jack Martin (D/F) will find a place in my side. Found his niche in defence last year (21 games). Breakout year coming, hope they use him a lot more this year. Great mark and kick. Only averaged 74 but I'm banking on that improving dramatically.
Interested for people's thoughts on him?

Another pre season will help him but it's a shame he plays for Gold Coast.
In a better side with more help he would average in the 90s making him a great FWD BACK option.

Maybe the new guys Barlow etc will help him.
Also a bit injury prone.

You be fair he did make it all about himself.

But that's a conversation for another day and place.
Laughable. Besides Chris Grant there hasn't been a bloke in the history of our club who is more about the team than Bob. Maybe he should set up a systematic drug program like your favourite son.

As you said, this is for a different time and place..

Benny Cuz?

Ohh your talking bout Jimmy. Carry on.

I was liking one Adams of the Taylor variety until i saw that post about his average game count per year, 15! and that's over quite a few years.
Hmmm might be worth forking out the extra coin for Shaw and piece of mind.

Rubbing my hands together at all the Docherty doubters, the real deal, the new BJ of the backline for years to come.

nope. For me 2016 was his year. Too fragile, doesnt get enough ball. The suns sucking gasnt helped, but you gotta play it where it lies.

Not many people suggesting Keffe in their sides. He isn't a premo like a lot of the discussion is about, but he is a rookie who I think will play every week. Chuck him on your bench, no need to play him, just making up the numbers.

Early days it looks like we'll have a nice selection of def rookies so hopefully we don't have to pick Keffe.

Will be all about where they play him. Statistically he should be reaching his potential next year after 4 years in the system. If they play him as a pure mid in the pre season I may take the risk with him. He does have sublime skills. Hopefully next year will be his year.

Who's this Keffe fella?
I just quoted FM and figured that he spelt it correctly : - )
It's Lachlan Keeffe of the Collingwood Football club. He's a 204cm KPD who got suspended for being a naughty boi at a Music Festival and missed all of 2016.

After the year Collingwood just had, it was so worth it.

I really want Hartlett but he screams 2016 Daniel Rich to me - I was lucky enough to avoid Rich, I'm not sure if I want to fall into the trap this time
I went with Rich last year.
Likely to go with HH next year.

Picked Rich because I thought he could take his game to a new level (95+) as many had done in years before. Didn't work out.
I'm picking HH because I'm backing him to go back to the level he was already at, which is higher than Rich had ever been.

I kept Rich at arms length which wasn't far enough away ;)

I've learned to never pick campaigners that run like a T-Rex thanks to that squib.

I'm also considering Hartlett because Port shopped him around/he wanted to leave. Hoping that means he might extract the digit.
