Its all based on the average conversion percentage of 2pt attempts. If a given team is particularly good or bad at converting 3rd & 2, 4th & 2 and 2pt attempts, they need to take that into account themselves

Yup. Will be interesting to see the new data being added in over time.

I would assume (no evidence) that previously, teams would only go for it when they are extremely potent on offence (eg. Steelers) or when down 2 etc..
Now with the PAT being moved, more teams will be trying it more often I would assume, including those who would normally not try it. So the average might get pulled down, at the same time as the PAT average is being pulled down.
Will be interesting to analyse in 3-5 years.
