Smith always seems to give up on his receivers the moment he senses the pass rush closing in. He pins his ears back and goes into scramble mode with the blinkers on.

That’s one of the reasons I like Russell Wilson. He’ll bolt from the pocket, but he’s always looking to connect with one of his receivers and will routinely make the big pass play on a busted 3rd down.

Smith is a hack. Don’t care what his stats are. He has repeatedly failed to deliver in the big games and crunch moments.

Like LicoriceAllsorts said, if you go back there is a clear whistle sound right on that contact timing.

Not sure if after that they chose just to ignore that whistle to allow the play to eventuate and review it later.
