Now that this season is done it is time to look to the future, things that need to be done for us to move forward; new coach/coaching panel a ruck coach and a new fitness boss.

If we get a new coach who can improve how we defend through the middle of the ground you will see a vast improvement in the backline. Hopefully we can get our best midfield together and one of our rucks can stand up. The forward line is our biggest issue hopefully a new coach can reinvigorate Cloke and he and Moore can combine up forward.

2017
FB: Williams Brown Marsh
CHB: Ramsay Reid Scharenberg
C: Sidebottom Adams Varcoe
CHF: Howe Moore Elliott
FF: Fasolo Cloke Swan
Rucks: Witts Pendlebury Treloar
Inter: DeGoey Langdon Greewood Cox
 
Full clean out of coaching panel. Dew in head coach job and get best assistants around him as possible, guys like ratten, laidley, chocco etc. Too early to look at Maxy as defence coach. We need a Ruck coach. Monkhurst? Also get rid of Rendall and get Wright off hawks.

Add exerience where we can not 26 plus more so 21-24 bracket. Im looking at you Saad.

After that whatever dead wood is left try and get a couple of decent picks in the draft.

Pick up Callum Brown and Josh Daicos

Then Dew and his new assistants can start repairing this mess

you must remember that players returning from acls usually take a whole season plus another pre-season before playing decent footy , so l see Ramsey and berg as vfl players next year.

That is normally a result of the player missing a big part of the preseason. Won't happen in these cases and the other factor is the length of the lay off but Ramsay showed after missing most of last season he doesn't take long to get back in to it

Not going to discuss the recruit but if you think Keeffe is going to comeback straight away after not playing football since 2014 you are kidding your self. He will need time in the twos to find his feet

I'm assuming you've traded Sidey for a packet of chips or Aish is keeping him out of the side???

This time last week you were talking up our chances of making the finals because we did it in 2009 after a similar slow start... Times change fast it seems

Ah someone with extreme intelligence. Every point you make, I've been banging on about for ages.
 
Get games into the kids and persist with larger blocks of games to build into some form.

Might as well look at a extra long pre season for next year.

Let some guys like Toovey, Macaffer and Goldsack go.
Keep some for trade if they have any value like O'Keefe, Gault, Broomhead, Thomas.

Need to bring some fresh ideas into the coaching department clearly.

Need some older players to come in with decent leadership, might be able to get a player with a year or two from a decent team with a view to staying on on a coaching capacity.

Need to be less hype off the field and more action on it.
 
This is what disappoints me most. Six months in the off season to get excited about footy this year and less than 2 months in its a write off because of our non-existent coaching panel and we are already talking about next season.
