At a neutral ground I would still pick Coll although narrowly. I'm not sure why everyone has picked them as a superior side given they are missing Nic Nat, Gaff and Shepherd and likely McGovern and Shuey potentially impeded. WC covered the line against Coll 2 weeks ago but they were behind all game until storming home in the last quarter. You mean west coast -5.5 at a neutral ground? But yeah, 2 goal advantage is a general rule. So based on that, either the MCG on grandfinal day is not as much of an advantage to Vic sides v non-Vic sides as many like to make out. Or if it is a significant advantage, then West Coast are by far the better rated team as the line is only -6.5/7.5
I’m not having a bet either way but I think it’s interesting to look at.
I would be giving more than a 2 goal advantage at the MCG as I would if the game was at Optus. So based on the line bookies have pegged WC as the superior team. Given they have won all games with Kennedy and Darling playing they might be right.
