News 2018 Alternate Guernsey - we get to decide ...sort of

To the jerk offs at the club who are reading this "Go **** Yourselves"

This bullshit about giving us a say is rot. It is all geared towards option 3. They know it.

And our Traditional Guernsey disappears into history.

Hang you ****en heads in shame. :stern look

Didn't I tell you and Clokey that this would happen when I bumped into you in Mumbai?

What a ****ing disgrace that we move our traditional guernsey, that we won four flags in, back to an alternate guernsey. But to rub it in more, one year later we are gonna get rid of it all together.

We hang shit on Eddie for changing Collingwood's strip but at least they have kept their traditional guernsey for clashes.

Oh but it will sell more because kids like cartoons on jumpers. Why not change our name to the North Melbourne Unicorns, because kids love unicorns and we can sell millions of the ****ers?

How about we get our stadium deal sorted and stop ****ing with our history, to try and make a few thousand extra bucks in merchandise sales.

And lastly, why not give up the option to vote for our traditional guernsey??

Turn it up Snrubs. You to with what looks good and what is tiresome? How abouts our traditional strip? The one that got regulated to an away strip without member consultation? Now what is to become of that? You know the one that LT is wearing in your Avatar. This is sickening! :stern look

I didn't see that one in the list of options.

So much fury over a pre-season jumper which MIGHT be worn once or twice through the year. Chill.

But seriously, if you flogs vote for anything but #3 I'm going to run you down in my car.

I think you'll find this isn't just a pre season jumper. They are calling it the alternate guernsey so it may well be the away/clash kit.

"There are three options to pick from with the most popular to be worn throughout the 2018 pre-season, and at the club’s discretion as a second option for away games during the season proper."

There's a home jumper, an away jumper and an alternative jumper. The alternative is like Richmond's inverted yellow jumper, only used once or twice a year.

Putting aside these designs, when it comes to the traditional blue stripes on white jumper, if we want that back as our home strip, we simply have to accept that we wear white shorts even in home games against every team except Brisbane, Sydney and Gold Coast.

That doesn't bother me all that much. The jumper is a key part of our identity... the shorts I'm less concerned with. Personally I'm happy with the above, the Blue Shorts / Jumper as the away. Thrown in the indigenous plus an alternate such as the 90's strip for a couple of games and I'm more than content.

I never had an issue with the white shorts, but the way a lot of people on this forum carried on you'd think we had taken the field wearing red and black ones.
I hope those turkeys are happy.

That being the case, and if we keep both sets of stripes, then I'd scrap all of these "new" designs and go with the 1925 white V on blue. The 90s alternate jumper has been exploited twice for it's heritage value and it holds no appeal for kids so what's the point?

Fine by me. Jumper>shorts. It's not like blue shorts are all that traditional anyway.

Pity the club didn't give us the chance to vote on that, rather than just changing it without even an announcement.

What a ****ing joke. That roo on 1 and 2 should be killed with fire. Makes us look like we are going to play 20-20 cricket in the big bash. As someone who buys the polo, jacket, hoodie, shorts, pants, every jumper every year I'll be boycotting merch if they continue with rubbish. I can't look at myself in the mirror when i wear that orange indoor cricket polo or the training shirt from 2016.

Also agree with the comments about number 3 devaluing the 20th year anniversary jumper.

Number 2 without the roo.

On the flip side, number 1 is still better than 'bob's 300' jumper

Media (Fox, SEN etc) are promoting this, have seen a few comments by non North supporters saying they're going to vote for what they see as the worst one to make sure the most popular one doesn't win.

Make sure you vote so we don't get trolls choosing our strip.

I love the V one - support the V everyone - its lagging behind
