i think the country will really miss ange. he tried to get players to play in an interesting way, and not just the usual sit back and hope for the best that others do. tried to make his players comfortable with the ball at his feet and improve them as footballers. i reckon for a country that is in the position we are that is all we can really ask for.thank god ange is gone
The rival teams should not be doing work for his case , regardless of what happened.
That is down to the Peruvian FA. His excuse might be BS . I remember when Rio Ferdinand got a long ban for not showing up to a drugs test and some suspected that was because he had done coke.
Have to hope France plays Giroud against Australia.France: We have Mbappe, Lemar, griezzman, pogba.
Australia: We have Tim Cahill
France: Are you bringing the lube or shall we?
I think I read they've renamed some Caltex to CahilltexWill they rename the Cahill expressway ( sydney)the Tim Cahill expressway during wc?
Jedinak is going to kick the shit out of him and its going to be glorious!Who do we have to shut down Eriksen?
I think everyone loved the positivity Ange brought to the team. He genuinely believed we could go to world tournaments and try to outplay teams which was very easy to get behind as a fan.i think the country will really miss ange. he tried to get players to play in an interesting way, and not just the usual sit back and hope for the best that others do. tried to make his players comfortable with the ball at his feet and improve them as footballers. i reckon for a country that is in the position we are that is all we can really ask for.
personally dont see where the goals come from and think we'll get absolutely destroyed out wide. ryan, mooy and jedinak in particular will need to have blinders to even be competitive. that's not enjoying them lose or anything like that, the squad that we're taking is just quite far behind as a unit the other sides. but i guess we will see how far bert has gotten them up to speed in the 2 friendlies in a comparatively very short amount of time.
2 draws is achievable. Peru are gettable, as Jatz said, they didn't exactly thump NZ to qualify. We're some chance of a point Denmark if we shut down Eriksen like Romania and Montenegro did (teams that are about equal to the Socceroos) otherwise we'll be on the end of belting like Ireland were. Denmark still have decent players but they fall apart if Eriksen isn't dominating, he essentially pulls the strings for the team. As for France, I'm just hoping to be competitive and to not be completely thrashed.
Giroud would kill us. Be careful what you wish for. 3 goals last euro, playing against EPL defences. I don't think he'd be all that phased with our lot.Have to hope France plays Giroud against Australia.
This. His stubbornness to give up on a system that wasn't working was where he began to lose the public's support. Such a waste, was onto something goodI think everyone loved the positivity Ange brought to the team. I think a lot of the criticism came about from when he took us from a back 4 which seemed to be working to a back 3 for the Iraq qualifier which a lot of the players seemed to struggle with and he could never really provide an answer as to why he changed other than saying that if teams don't evolve they go backwards.
Have a uni exam on at the same time as Australias opening game.
