The first two corners of QR is great, but the rest is incredibly average. No character at all. Skaife and Crompton try to talk up the bumps and stuff, but even the drivers think it is boring.

Winton has a good first 2 corners, and the sweeper into the hairpin is good, but the rest isn’t up to scratch.

There was no point. SVG was a lot faster and if Fabs decided to hold him up it would've hurt his own race.

It's funny you mention that, I spoke to a superbike rider a few years ago who thought QR was alright specifically because the bumps at least gave the joint some character. He thought Symmons Plains was the worst track to race on.

My first ever experience of motorsport was Amaroo in the early 70's. My older brother took me. Lella Lombardi was running around in an F5000 too.

Went to Oran pk for the 1990 finale ( Jimmy Richards won the title in the GTR ) and went to Amaroo in 91 ( Longhurst won in the M3 )
