He did it in 2016 too though before falling back to being a mere mortal in 2017.
He`ll be cheaper at some stage. As will Lloyd I reckon. Perfect upgrade targets to round out a side.

Has the emergence of Francis killed Hurley as a premo pick?
Didn't manage a 90+ score in the last 5 games of the year when Francis played.

Currently sitting with this. Named my team after the mighty Sicily this season then realised it was difficult to start with both him and Laird. Initially had Laird, Sicily, Williams, Francis, Birchall, Collins. Siss and Francis may end up being upgrade targets if they go on with their 2018 form.

Ess fans will know more, but think his role shifted to more direct accountability and one-on-one play. They changed things up a bit around the time he was out injured and after he came back they had shifted to that down back there was only really the Suns game where he was much chop. Aided a bit by the Suns gifting a few intercepts iirc.
Otherwise, he was just going, not sure it had that much to so with Franga.

Training exceptionally well with the Midfield group .....expect to see him play more wing / midfield ..... I just worry about the # of possessions he gets

Which site did u use to get these scores?Williams averaged 94 in 2017 ....was injured most of 2018, but came back in the Finals, with you'd say limited game fitness

Roberton also had most of 2018 off .....but remember he plays for St Kilda.....no. but seriously his last 3 games (forget the 4th) was just average .....so Roberton not a bad pick at the price, but as a stepping stone, whereas I can see Williams as a final D5 or D6 keeper

Smith from my team, the Crows, again is one of those mid-price players with "meh" scores ......has only had one good season SC wise and is not even in my thinking

Simmo turns 35 in May ....to think he can continue previous years form or increase his average ....IMO is wishful thinking
Remember what happened to Heath Shaw
Simmo has a much different body shape to Heater though.
Robertons best average is 90 yeah? But more often averages much less than this. Not a great pick for mine.

Everybody also said the same things last season at this stage that Simmo was not going to average 100 ever again.

I suspect that Hurley will increasingly play a more accountable role and we will prefer to free up Francis when possible because his intercept marking is so strong and he's a good distributor. Not impossible for Hurley to score like a premium but I'd say its far less likely. There will still be weeks where Hurley doesn't play on the best defender (mainly when Hooker does instead against the gorilla's) but you'd think most of the time he'd be playing on someone quite decent.
It wouldn't really surprise me if all of Hooker, Hurley and Francis ended the year between 400-500k.

Two years of the last four with a 90+ average and take out the injury game from last year and his average was 80. At worst you'd think he's a stepping stone that will probably give you some good scores on the way to upgrading to a premo. At best he ends up a 90+ keeper so pretty low risk for $297k. I suppose there's a chance he ends up a 70 something nothing player you can't upgrade fast enough but he's a better player than that imo.
