Heads up warning for those not sold on the pricey premo'. You can always downgrade with a trade, but you cannot upgrade, unless you have a ridiculous amount of cash sitting in the bank. Better to start Lloyd, and downgrade him to say Williams, than upgrade Williams should he spud it up, to a Whitfield who might be on fire.

I've switched out Whitfield and Moore for Lloyd and Scrimshaw. I'm reasonably happy with this backline.

Highly talented kid in the mould of Grant Birchall who spent two years on the Gold Coast surfing.
Now back in Melbourne with family and playing for his childhood team he is happy and working hard.
I think he gets a gig in our team but not sure he has the tank or concentration to play large minutes at this stage.
He got 12 possessions in the first quarter of JLT 2 against the tigers but then faded out.
Worth the risk I reckon especially as Birchall has had another injury setback.

I have. I think Collins will play a lot games but not be a great scorer. I see scrimshaw as a better scorer but may be rested at times.

I'm actually thinking of taking both. Collins was leading interceptor in VFL last year averaging something like 120 SC points. Now Thompson has gone down Collins will have to play more Lock Down forward but I still think he will rack up the intercepts.
The first JLT game when Thompson was playing Collins scored 92SC and in JLT2 scored 52SC as the lock down defender but 9 of his 10 possessions were interceptions so I would see this score as the outlier and once he becomes more comfortable in the role he will start scoring pretty well.
Very solid JS and think he will only improve.

There is this fallacy that Collins will be a shit scorer. The game he plays, he will be pushing out more 90s than 40s
He also gets to play St Kilda in Round 1, Defenders have been marking half the kicks we put in there... he'll have a field day and open up with a tonne.

I was tempted to ditch my M4 and run with BCrouch and Libba at M4/5 and then go an extra premo back considering it could be iffy down there.
Is it worth me upgrading Hore to Scrimshaw kents?
