What are you trying to say? Who’s your R3?

I have Bines, so in case they do miss I can swing a Westhoff or Lycett into the rucks to cover later on in the year.

Gawn has only played 22 games twice, Grundy once.

Yes I’ve moved to Bines as well. This R3 conversation is occurring in two threads simultaneously :)

I don’t have Hoff or Lycett but if there’s an issue with Gawn/Grundy can trade one in up forward to pinch hit. I actually don’t mind Lycett as a starting option with Ryder’s injury concerns.

I'm not starting Hoff or Lycett either, but Goldy playing only 21 games a few years ago, and me picking Goetz over Cox cost me a chance at the 50k, so I'm always gonna pick the DPP non-player even if their draw isn't quite as tasty.

Agreed. Originally had Schlensog at R3 for that very reason, but after seeing the draw analysis, Bines a better option.

I don't quite understand this idea of trading in Hoff/Lycett if Gawndy go down. You're assuming that you'll have the cash and/or rookie downgrade/upgrade target at precisely the right time. Only other option is to trade a premo. Surely it would be better to have a backup before they go down?

Who’s your backup?

It also provides flexibility for trades.

If a rookie priced ruck, like Fort starts getting games later in the season, you can downgrade a forward rookie and bring him in.
