no, your argument is stuck in the past (recent past) when trubisky sucked. But you can really see theres been a sudden dramatic improvement by him, hes become what they hoped, and theres still plenty of room for further development where he morphs into a qb who passes 40 times a game and throws 3-5 TDs a game.

as for allen, he is not a qb being hidden by the OC/playcalling (like trubisky in the past). where theres a level of liability and unreliability in their play, that they have to pound the rock, play exemplary D, and just preach to them that they dont turn the ball over, dump off passes to move the chains.

both the bears and bills have excellent Ds, and good rushing game, so theyre still both keeping to that tactical plan...but the qbs are no longer being hidden, theyre starting to come into their own.

like...russell wilsons first and second seasons ...he was slowly acclimating, game managing, relied on the D and run, and you could see a steady but slow progress with him. and then when it all clicked for him, he exploded, he became a qb that can take the offense on his shoulders.

trubisky and allen are on that same developmental progress trajectory.

****ing lol.

Trubisky has played the Giants and Lions the past two weeks, please tell me where those defense's are ranked this year GG? I'll tell you where, In the same breath as the Cardinals defense, who you also somehow decided were good. 😂

theres a progress. qbs just need some confidence building too. where they play really well against average Ds, it slows down for then, they look back on their play and say to themselves, "hey i got this now, i can do this"...and then it starts showing against better Ds...not like they kill the better Ds...that level wont happen for trubisky and allen until NEXT season. but the point is -- the arrow is trending UP for both.

Wow, sir ...

Cardinals CB Josh Shaw has been suspended through the 2020 season for betting on NFL games.
Shaw is currently on injured reserve. A press release revealed the league uncovered no evidence indicating any inside information was used or that any game was compromised in any way. There also wasn't any evidence that suggested any teammates, coaches or other players were aware of the betting activity. Shaw can petition for reinstatement on or after February 15, 2021.

Matt Nagy needs to stop treating Trubisky like an elite QB talent and simply his playbook as the Bills have done with Allen. Draw up more designed runs, get him some more throws off play action by commiting to the run game more often, he's not a pocket passers arseh*le.

Jeff Schultz of The Athletic reports the Falcons will not make a coaching change before their next game.
No lock to survive the season as head coach, Dan Quinn's job security will continue to be evaluated on a week-to-week basis. Injuries and poor offensive line play doomed the Falcons Thursday against New Orleans, though Quinn's defense has also been to blame for Atlanta's struggles. Ultimately, it would be a surprise if Quinn returns next season.

sure that will help. and nagy should.
but its more pre-snap post-snap vision, coverage resding, recognition of m2m receivers on the read progressions, and speeding thru them under durress...like garoppolo does so well....trubisky made tons of such throws vs the lions just yesterday. its starting to click for him upstairs.

Trubisky May have had a decent game against Lions D but so have all teams. Hard to believe Patricia was ever a DC.

Trubisky has a long way to go to prove that he’s anything to NFL starter standard. Ridiculous to think otherwise.

Two weeks ago he was benched with a made up injury coz he was so bad against the Rams.

the GG QB algorithm works something like this:

Recognised as trash; " there is something to work with, I see improvement"

Average starter; no opinion

Quality starter; overrated

Hall of famer: "he's no Dan Marino"

3 week sample size. Just like game winning drives.

Keep narrowing the focus to improve your narrative. 😉

I never said he wasnt awesome at scrambling either. My issue is with his hot and cold accuracy. Was excellent yesterday. Give him medal if it makes you feel better.

How am I narrowing the focus? I expanded it beyond just yesterday’s game! He’s had 7 strong weeks since making adjustments. Which in his career terms is nearly half his starts.

Still waiting for a game that Josh carries the team to a victory in too. Just saying, how many defense's have kept Dallas' score that low in their building this year?

It may not happen though. The D is elite so naturally they are going to be a major factor in most victories.

Apart from Baltimore that is a common feature amongst the strongest teams this year.

The O put up comparable numbers to GB and Minnesota at Dallas which is pretty good company. And this was arguably the most important game of the season for the Cowboys.

And our record is much better this year on the back of much better O. The D has been awesome back to back years. 6-10 last year,9-3 this year.

Russ didn't cost his team victory anywhere near as regularly as Trubisky and Allen have.

same question as a few weeks ago: how many games has Josh cost the Bills?

Given his 14-9 record as a starter and 7 GW drives. I honestly just wonder if there is a single example.

and theres nothing incorrect about that

On that note (and sorry for the spam), PFF has just published an article on their grades for all day 1 draftees: https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-grading-all-32-first-round-picks-after-week-12-of-the-2019-nfl-season

I can only see the top 8, but generally as might have been predicted (Bosa #1, Murray doing well in a bad system, Ferrell not worth #4) etc

(This is a semi-unlocked version of the week 10 rankings: )

4. Ferrell 49.2
5. White 49.8
8. Hockenson 63.8
9. Oliver 61.8
10. Bush 57.9
15. Haskins 43.6
18. Bradbury 52.6
20. Fant 50.3
24. Jacobs 90.4
28. Tillery 37.4

(others weren't posted)
