On the SportingPulse clearances a few rochalea players brown Holten and woodward all heading to Perth. Must be some $$ thrown around there?

Was trying to work out the other day, how many teams have disappeared out of the north, north-east and north-west over the past five to ten years?
Would be heaps.

Well this will not be include all but since late 80’s when I was playing as kid in mini leagues in various leagues as we moved a bit due to the old man I can remember playing against these teams now gone.
Esk Deloraine
Cressy
Westbury and Hagley (now meander suns, 20 years after both folded)
Mole Creek
Red Hills
St. Mary’s
Fingal ( also Valley saints there one year, Fingal/St. Mary’s merged then parted ways)
Chudleigh,Elizabeth Town and Meander all existed as well

Amateurs / Ntfa

Northern Districts
Prospect

Nefu

Winnaleah
Crows
Ringarooma

Other clubs gone are like Sprent, Railton and Wilmont in the Leven league and do remember playing at Myalla in the Darwin league, nice surface and ground. Beauty Point and Beaconsfield merged to form Tamar Cats

Trouble out at Longford which the club is trying to keep hush hush. The words 'Crisis Meeting' have been used!

Players wanting out in mass numbers to the point where their practice match against Hobart they pulled out of due to not being able to get a side together!
Was told that 4 of their 'young guns' had a meeting with OL's last night and most likely signed!

Also Uni-Mowbray to follow Tamar into recess. Been told they just have enough for one team at the moment. If the NTFA are making Tamar provide a list of 50 players there is no way Uni can go forth either!

If true OL’s could be a competitive side with their other recruits they have sourced. Do you know of these ‘young guns’ are? Also Evandale would pick up a few of Longford with their close connection? That is purely a guess though if Longford are falling apart.

the demise of all clubs in Tassie may be a direct results of Hawthorn and North Melbourne suckin what loyalty and and sponsorship money out of the Tassie population, local sponsors cannot see any $$ value in the local game , pity
Hawks have 8 ,000 members who all have promotional stuff, and i know people only go to there games and not local
I think the losses of clubs statewide must correlate from when they started full time here
