With Brd back, what impact will it have in Matt...pperhaps more time resting forward...
I've thought about this too. Last time they played together though BCrouch averaged 103, MCrouch averaged 106.7 and Sloane 107. Gibbs being in may have an affect possibly?

Agree...taranto or zerrett for me...or Oliver/Cripps/Cogs/Jelly/...
This is really tough. I think you have to go Zerrett...his numbers still stack up in JLT (tog) and he's bloody cheap. I feel like Taranto is just a little more prone to a stinker than Zerrett is as well. If Taranto banged out two 90s in JLT, I think it becomes even more obvious.

That being said, I think they're both great picks.

Both great picks...don't look back. They love a cheeky 1-2 as well.

Is matt top 8? I'm just not sure

Has the scope to be. Has low tog and still averages over 100. Injury affected game last year. Easy draw. Won’t get tagged. Definitely capable. I currently have him but it’s him or Brayshaw. Unsure who makes the cut by the time Thursday rolls around

Keep in mind that all of Taranto’s stinkers last year were when he was shunted to the forward line. In only his second year too. Big upside IMO but can understand people’s hesitations

Who would you guys choose out of Cripps and Cogs for Round 1 (keeping in mind that Cripps can be used as VC for Round 1)?

I have the same dilemma. Currently have Cogs, reckon I might change him to Cripps should Kelly not get up for R1 though.

Cogs for me but a loop for R1 would be pretty handy, you'd go safe and take 110 and get the season off to a steady start on the captaincy front.

Agree. Let them think he’s not a good pick. He does it all, racks up the footy, marks it a lot, tackles a lot and kicks goals. Has so many avenues to his scoring
Haha all my posts today regarding Bray have been rubbish, just trying to lower the ownership . I might have been a little too subtle though lol. Aussie_boy , just letting you know that I actually agree with you regarding Bray. He's been a lock from the start and my M1 for weeks, I'm confident he will be a top 3 mid.

Elliott’s glass body in my side is against my better judgement*

He's basically an expensive rookie with a down payment.. if he plays 8 weeks he gets to 450-480k and you can upgrade him (meanwhile your 170k guys will still be 300-350k at that stage)

I believe everything I read in this thread, that's the problem.

Cripps VC loop is nice but with such a big pick like that you got to think long term. Whoever you choose will be in your side for the whole season (hopefully). So my pick is Cogs
FWIW here is my top 8 mids:
Macrae - 125
Cogs - 115
Brayshaw - 113
Mrouch - 110
Cripps - 109
Oliver - 108
Sidebottom - 108
Adams - 107
