For those who have gone to training so far to check it out, how do you know when they’re training?

On the website it says they are out of season and access to the public is prohibited.

I’m sure some of you said you’ve been. How did you know when they were training?

Sorry Geoff, he's Cornes is not moving to SEN ....SEN is a Crocmedia owned station, Cornes was employed by Crocmedia, when he made his Tex Comments on the Crocmedia "hour" on FiveAA
True.

But few will listen to his breakfast show on SEN compared to Sportsday SA on Five AA.

Probably the toughest timeslot to host due to competition from FiveAA, ABC and MMM.

Think your underestimating Crocmedia .... FIVEAA certainly stays as it’s business model works in all states

But from sport perspective, SEN will dominate

Kane's been at Crocmedia for a couple of years now. Must be about time for him to "retire" again and move onto his next boyhood dream

I can see them making a dent in Drivetime.

Just not sure about Breakfast.

Breakfast is huge ..... Monday mornings after games and issues .... everyone will listen

Why wait till 4pm on FIVEAA ..... it’s all about immediacy these days .... hence why newspapers are failing

How does SEN Breakfast rate in Melbourne?

Papers are failing because people are addicted to phones and tablets...but I agree, "immediacy" is an issue for print

When you've got a guy like Cornes on, theres a fair chance 60% of the state wont listen.

Plus not everyone wants to listen to sport all day...... as hard as that is for me to understand !!!

IIRC it’s under 4% of total radio listeners .... but it’s a hugely fragmented market here

It’s very much a niche model

Yes so what happens in a night cricket game ... will be discussed next morning, by the time Rowe and Bickley get on, it’s old news

SEN this morning has been discussing cricket team makeup all morning .... if your a cricket head, you’ll be listening

:p That’s a fallacy ..... everyone says the same about 5AA .... but everyone who says they refuse to listen, does listen ..... everyone who hates Kane, still listens

Like moths to a flame

That is kind of my point.

On FiveAA (yes employed by Crocmedia by broadcast by AA) Kane is mainstream. With SEN he is on a niche broadcaster.

Bare in mind few analogue radios can even support the frequency so that market is even less than in Melbourne.

I like the SEN concept and listen to it quite a bit through TuneIn radio. But it wont be competitive (mainly due to it pretty much being digital only) and thus Kane's opinions will be heard by less.

Geoff why don’t you simply download the SEN app ?

I agree , a lot of older people in Adelaide , but they’ll find their market, I’m sure

I like TuneIn. All the stations I listen to in one app.

I don't think that's the case, but i do think there's a group that are well below the fitness to join in training .....we know about Stengle, but McAdam and Kieran obviously well below required fitness levels ....and McPherson's hardly played the last 2 years

Which makes perfect sense. You'd think a state of the art physical performance plan would assess each individual player and determine the most effective and efficient way to get them to where they need to be. That might include extending their preseason by a month if they've had injury issues etc. Wasn't one of the complaints about Neil Craig was that everyone joined in the same preseason regardless of their opening fitness level? I'm sure we've come a long way from those days.
