My own fault. I missed the Goodship Kennedy yesterday and tried to make up for it by boarding the Hawkins 6 ft dinghy.

I did so even though I could see the storms on the horizon.

It didn't have to be this way. I did this to myself.

Thank god I covered myself with 2 @ 2 and 3 @ 4.50.

I honestly didn't know Hawkins was on 2 when he kicked his third. I thought that was his second.

I still ended up down for the match (tonnes of small multis on Taberner, Lobb etc) but overall, only just down.

Had Hawkins failed to kick his third, it would have been a bad day. Had he failed to kick two, a horrible day.

(Had he kicked that fourth I would have been ahead for the day, somehow)

Thanks to Hawkins second half, I'm still in good shape for the year. I've gone from despondent to upbeat in a half of footy
