Surprised given how many tracks have hosted F1 races there
Not worth maintaining facilities to the highest level if they have no intentions of hosting an F1 race. If you look at the list of Grade 1 tracks, they are almost all current or recent F1 tracks, plus a couple of tracks used for testing, a couple of MotoGP tracks and the Indianapolis Speedway

All other series are able to be held at Grade 2 tracks, which is exactly what Donnington and Brands Hatch are listed at

They could be labelled grade 2 simply for lack of space though, surely an exception could have been made in the interests of entertainment, it's not as if they aren't safe to race on.

I guess at least they have car data from last week for ADR - but it will still be hard from here - different tire temps and conditions and rain expected.. maybe ADR will just say **** it and go for it balls out and if it sticsk great... if not oh well lol

Lando cops a 3 place grid penalty for overtaking under yellows during FP1

That would make for an interesting grid if Quali is washed out tonight

Yeah, not sure what Lando was thinking there, was warned about the yellow flags by his team, it was clearly visible and he still overtook the other car. At least he admitted his mistake straight after and accept the penalty.

So during the FP2 coverage yesterday, Brundle mentioned that he will be having an exclusive interview with Seb in Hungry next Thursday, that was requested by Seb himself. Interesting development considering that Seb requested the interview and not the other way around. Brundle mentioned Seb told him he's "very liberal" on what topics they can talk about and that it's up to Brundle.

Contract announcement? Retirement/sabbatical announcement? A "clear the air" interview and drop some truth bombs and a public "come and get me" to other teams? Who knows, at least with Brundle conducting the interview, he will probably be pretty blunt with Seb and hopefully asks some of the hard questions.

Hell, could it even be a "BMW return" announcement?

Watching the F3 race right now, very wet track and good race at the moment. Could make for good quali tonight

Since it's never happened in before. It'll be interesting to see how teams/drivers go about getting a result this weekend. There's never an opportunity to redress a mistake, mistake in tactics, or immediately take advantage of any new found knowledge. But this time they will be able to.
Kubica could have really given the title a tilt in 2008 if they hadn’t given up to focus on 2009.. only to leave at the end of 09.
Bang on. And the way they left was pathetic.

They will do quali tomorrow if they cant get it done tonight, only something like a 20% chance of rain tomorrow morning.

Only just tuned in, what happened to Perez?? And looks like Verstappen and Hamilton worlds ahead of the rest in the wet.
