We need to manage our expectations re Cuningham. Killed it last year at pre season training and we all thought he turned the corner. With ball in hand he looks great but for me he is inconsistent and goes missing. Such a tease of a player. Not sure if its lack of concentration or an inability to read the game which stops him from starring across the four quarters. Would love to see Sam Walsh mentor him because he is the best at our club in finding the ball.

Not getting inured is all he needs - the inconsistency you speak of is through a lack of consecutive matches where he can gain the experience, fitness and self belief. If he can string together a full season, watch out for his 2nd half of the year.

He has played 25 games of a.f.l. football as a half forward and played in four wins. Pretty confident that if gets a good run at it and as a team we get more of the footy in his area you will be pleasantly surprised by his ability.

The thing with Cuningham, at least from my understanding, is most don't really doubt his ability or talent, it's more having no faith that his body will allow him to flourish.

We've all seen the burst away from stoppage and great goals, but then next minute he's nicked up and out for another 3 weeks. That's where the lack of faith comes from.

If he can stay fit I don't think many here doubt he'll make it. It's just the staying fit part that raises doubt...

Interested to know what other track watchers think of TDK, he had a real presence today and crashed a lot of packs as well as jumping over Kruz and Pitt.

Its only one training session albeit against ourselves but I saw enough today to think he could be a smokey for Round 1 as a second key tall and back up ruck.

Like you I’ll reserve judgment until I see him get through 4 AFL games in a row (unscathed) which would be a record for him.

Was C Curnow sighted?
Kreuzer?
Which of the recent draftees were impressing the most?
Charles wasn’t sighted from what I saw. Kruezer participated in the match sim and looked like the same old tractor he always is.
Of the recent draftees, Honey and Philp were most impressive to me. Honey is extremely explosive, a lot of power in those legs. Did a couple of nice things. Philp has a great burst from stoppages and good hands, but needs to work on the consistency of his kicking.

JACK Martin has delivered an exciting glimpse of what he will add to Carlton's mix in season 2020, producing an encouraging display in the club's first significant match simulation drill of the summer.

David Cuningham was perhaps the standout of Friday morning's match simulation drill, playing largely through the midfield where he demonstrated his class at stoppages and his turn of speed with ball in hand.

Probably all depends if Big H gets up for rd 1 I reckon

140k supercoach bench option. Lol. Cover for the injured 350k Nic Nat.

Cuningham killed last pre-season - took that form into the Richmond game (second quarter was amazing) for 22 possessions and 5 tackles and then missed 5 weeks with a kidney injury and suddenly he isn't performing "consistently" (although betwen round 6 and 13, where he picked up a knee injury that derailed his season, he averaged 16 possessions, 3.5 tackles, 1.7 clearances and 1 goal per game).

Jones. Kicked another one to finish this quarter

Great stuff here. Everyone having good moments.
Dows goal was brilliant. Walsh making time stand still. Setterfield doing very well.
Young guys with good moments also. Philip just need to move the ball on a little quicker. Honey impressive and Ramsay involved.

Damn end of game. Only three quarters... So to speak.

Solid understanding of fractions there Harker

My first detention at school was trying to explain to my PE why putting the cone at "a half of a half" could be better conveyed

Come on Windows... I'm just finishing my lunch break and am waiting with baited breath! I need to get back to work shortly...
sounds like we have a positive training report on the way!

Cut and paste it into an email, then you can read it, email to yourself and read it again.
