Ok so maybe each club's 'embargo' is under different conditions, because the conditions in that article aren't the same as those previously published and makes much more sense.

It was created to provide the lower leagues with an extra revenue stream as well as the lure of playing at Wembley Stadium. I’m not sure if it has been successful in increasing club revenues, especially since the introduction of the Academy teams, but as the clubs get closer to the final they do take it more seriously and it is a big event for the clubs fans.

Just look at the attendances for the finals in recent years. There's enough care about winning a trophy to keep it going.

Sunderland and Portsmouth had 85k there a few years back.

Anyone interested in being part of a tipping comp I run? We do PL/Championship/League One tipping each round with a prize pool for the winner and runner up. Think I might watch some EFL this season and see if a club in the lower divisions entices following. Need to find a level of football where there can be enjoyment without the corruption found in the top flight.

They’ve brought a few including couple this week. But worry/talk that guys like Iorfa, Bannan, Windass and even Luongo may leave for Champ.

Just one game but a positive start by the Dons. Conceded seconds into the second half but looked the better team for much of the game and won 2-1. Optimistic that Ridoni, Assal and McCormick can create plenty of chances this season.

Wins for both of my lower league teams. Confident one for AFC Wimbledon and a shaky 2-1 over Sutton for Forest Green. Ebou Adams with some last minute magic rescued all 3 points. Not a great sign for a team that's supposed to be pushing for promotion against a newly promoted side. But a win is a win I guess

16 years developing with Chelsea I can see why AFC Wimbledon wanted Luke McCormick seems like a quality young footballer.

I just view it as, you're already doing 3 of the 4 leages in the football league. May as well do all 4.

Ah well.
Maybe next year (Im not big on joining late, yeah, plenty of time to come back, but not really keen on taking computer tips for week 1)
