Strangely not as nervous yet. Without trying to sound like a losers mentality, I'm already incredibly proud of the whole club for getting here today. After 2 years where they missed finals and appeared to blame everything but themselves, they set out over the off season looking at themselves instead, and the culmination of that is being on the big stage tonight.

This group has my faith for the first time in decades. Even the bad games they played this year, they didn't drop their bundle and give up. They are always in games. The doggies will be a huge challenge, but whatever happens I am incredibly proud to be a Melbourne fan today.

Not everyone will have that attitude today Grimesy (and that’s fine), but I think it’s appropriate.

With how hard it is just to make the gf, whatever happens on the day can come down to luck (if you ever get bored in the next 6 months, watch Collingwood vs St Kilda and the Geelong vs St Kilda grand finals from early 2010s).

I know for sure, I won't be sitting there at 10pm shocked cos the boys didn't turn up and got blown out. There is some serious mettle to this group, but you could see the first quarters against both lions and cats, they're here to do a job. The first quarter is going to be epic
