Agree re a good season before. I would argue he had a much better season last year than parish, who seems to be highly rated in 2021.
3rd season in, Walsh could emulate Judd. Others would have to drop off a bit though

I said in 2019 that it was the most open year in ages (15 was Fyfe, 16 was Danger, 17 was Dusty, 18 was Mitchell and 20 was Neale - all pretty firm favorites). This year is shaping up to be even more open, although obviously one of the favourites could come out with a purple patch and have 5 BOGS over the next 5 weeks, pretty much icing the award. I managed to pick Fyfe in 2019, hopefully I can pick again this year!

Appreciate the work you're putting in each week but this is a really really high count and id be careful using it for player u/o lines and 15+/20+/25+ etc markets when they come out as you've definitely got the majority of these guys a few votes too high.

Over the last 9 counts going back to 2012,
The person in 6th after rd16 has always been on 14-16 votes (You have 6th place on 20)
The person in 9th after rd16 has always been on 12-14 votes (You have 9th on 18)
The person in 13th after rd16 has always been on 11-12 votes (You have 13th on 15)

I'm fully aware of it but I still got to call it how I see it.

I have him on 15 after the 3 yesterday. But I have 4 in the very low 20s. I've been on the Brownlow since 2008, we migrated off BF to a private forum for a few years and we hosted a few get togethers, general consensus from the group was that you need a good season before you win and/or media hype during the season (obviously this doesn't always apply). He will poll well, but I'm not hedging/worried about him winning.

I actually stumbled across a 2009 Brownlow thread the other day!! The rates of ROI for some people was massive!! Was all team votes multis too!! I remember it quietened down a few years after that but makes sense with private forum.

Didn’t someone stitch up that group and sell their info off to corporates? Phantom Bronwlow maybe?

Forum used to pump back in those days!! Is Brownlow King still into it?

I made 5 figures that year, posted regularly with another account that I no longer have because I lost a bet.

EDIT: 2010 for me sorry not 2009, the Chris Judd year. I made a killing from Colin Sylvia tying Melbourne's count with a 3 in a loss to Hawthorn.

I'll shoot you a PM with the details tomorrow.

Was Walsh really that good in the Freo game or just the last ditch clinching goal?

Also Taylor Adam’s, deserve any votes in what should have been a heavy loss? Was De Goey better?
I had:
3 Steele
2 Hill
1 Adams

De Goey next. If I was doing partial votes I would give De Goey 0.5. Maybe next year.

Ahh Brownlow King. There's a blast from the past. Not above firing off PMs to posters who dared question his votes. Disappeared after getting one count miles off after being on The Footy Show etc.

Which bookies have decent Brownlow specials leading up to the count, aside from Sportsbet? Better sign up now, as Sh#tbet have banned me.

What a year! Was an 18yo, spent about $100 on bets and came away with $4.5k, was on cloud nine at the time!

I only remember seeing BK appear like a few days before the count. He used to put a thread on the main board from memory too.

That was Brownlow Guru. Different people and very different analysis, BG was very quantitative while BK was more qualitative.

BK stopped posting/contributing here in 2010 (although made a handful of comments in 2013) and took everything to the private forum.

BG continued to post every year a few days before the Brownlow. In fact, says he was on yesterday. BK was much more private (with his full tally/counts, he did go on the footy show and share his thoughts on the winner) BG liked to post yearly on the MB like you said.

Probably still a fair bit of an outside chance, but surely Touk Miller is gaining a bit of traction. Has been the most noticeable player on ground in the last chunk of Gold Coast games. Can’t even find odds for him anywhere...

Miller was suspended for a week so can't win the medal
