Posted this round's coaches' votes in the general discussion thread, but thought maybe we could develop a new one, as I think a few of our players have a decent crack at finishing on the podium this year.

Let's update and discuss each week! Who do you think is our best chance?

Apologies again for messy spoilers. Not sure what's happening there.

Agree that Gawn has a big chance to take it out. Also glad that Salem is getting some recognition. I think I might have underestimated McDonald's influence this season, too.

FWIW, here are our highest pollers of recent years:

2020:
78 Christian Petracca (=2nd overall)

2019:
70 Max Gawn (13th overall)

2018:
97 Max Gawn (1st overall)
72 Clayton Oliver (=5th overall)

2017:
71 Clayton Oliver (7th overall)

That's a lot of spoilers! Builds suspense in a way Andy Demetriou could only dream of!
McDonald relatively highly rated by the coaches, Lever underrated on those numbers.
He likes a good spoiler, does Headless.

So where is your temporary avatar honouring N Jones, Dory? Surely Metalocalypse can survive without you for a week?

I like a good one, yeah - but I don't like these ones that play constant tricks on me!

Probably best to just ignore anything I have in a spoiler for now.

No, really.

On its way. I just found out there is a WWE wrestler called Nathan Jones who actually looks very similar to our Nate (albeit much taller and bulkier):

Gawn certainly our best chance to win but don't underestimate Petracca. 18 point scored already when he's been in 3rd gear in all but R4 shows the coaches have him on their radar. When he's playing at his top he should really rake in the points.

Lever and Langdon seem to have been harshly scored.

Petracca has polled 4 out of 5 games

Salem with a perfect 10 moves up to 5th in the league. Gawn loses top spot but Petracca moves into the top 10 to give Melbourne 4 players in the top 10 along with Oliver. Lever also scrapes onto the leaderboard

Headless not to step on your toes but Salem with the perfect 10 as probably many on here expected, and Trac with 4/3. Interesting that Max got votes, I didn't have in my best.

Good spread. Would have each of our players who’ve polled (except Viney, Harmes and LJ) as among the best in their position/role in the competition.

May and Salem stiff not to get more I reckon, I honestly didn't think Mills was better than either. How good of a defender is Salem now btw, like just actually defending, nothing to do with the offensive side of things. It's been unbelievable honestly, like it's happened over night. Rarely loses contests and tackles like a mad man. Channeling his inner Nev.

And on the Swans side of things, Hickey stiff not to get the most for Sydney and more too.

Hickey was much more dominant than Mills I thought, but could have pulled votes from Harmes or Clarry also

I wouldn't have had an issue if Hickey was judged best on ground.

The only real surprise from a Melbourne perspective is the lack of love for Langdon really

Other than that you would think the top 10 would be the top 10 in our b&f with a little bit of movement for places but not a whole lot
