More tickets later? Only Wednesday so still time to increase this week's games.

EDIT: Government announcement says 40k from Friday and in place for 14 days subject to change. So, Carlton in R18 and hopefully this week too.

Even 40k is a joke considering Victoria hasn't had a community case in 7 days.

It's interstate(NSW) that is Holding Back the Crowds Numbers.

Goverment want to take it as Better to be Safe then Sorry

Qld, WA and SA aren't worried about NSW.

The government excuse shifted today to people returning from interstate after school holidays. That one is somewhat more relevant than the numbers in Sydney. With Sydney over 800km from Melbourne I didn't buy that excuse and it's one that contradicted relaxing regional Victorian restrictions while there were still community cases in Melbourne.

Biggest to smallest crowds in Vic since the crowd limits were introduced.
  • Essendon vs Melbourne (RD 15) = 19,414
  • Hawthorn vs Port Adelaide (RD 16) = 18,251
  • Western Bulldogs vs North Melbourne (RD 16) = 18,216
  • Collingwood vs St Kilda (RD 16) = 18,082
  • Melbourne vs GWS (Rd 16) = 16,963
  • Geelong vs Essendon (RD 16) = 15,579
  • Carlton vs Adelaide (RD 15) = 14,930
  • Richmond vs St Kilda (RD 15) = 14,787
  • Fremantle vs Carlton (RD 16) = 12,103
  • Collingwood vs Fremantle (RD 15) = 11,570
  • GWS vs Hawthorn (RD 15) = 9,897
  • Sydney vs West Coast (RD 16) = 9,520
  • Gold Coast vs Richmond (RD 16) = 9,327
  • Geelong vs Western Bulldogs (RD 14) = 6,583

Seems the club is at least considering a further ticket release. Either that or they’ve been bombarded with people who missed out in light of today’s government announcement.

EDIT: seems to be a bit of both. Good news, more tickets tomorrow

The Sunday 3:20pm time slot again for us against Carlton.
Doubt I’ll get to another game this year.
Wonder if the club will actually do anything about this?

No one want to watch our dirge in prime time.

We get what we deserve.
Our game on Sunday is sold out and will probably be one of the highest rating games.
Plenty of people want to watch.
The AFL put us in this time slot for that very reason.

The best sides, playing the best footy, get the best spots.

Get acclimatised to the graveyard shift - we'll be there for a while yet.

Another legacy of our recently departed coach.
