Wicks is fined for misconduct after he aggressively throws Weitering in to the turf when the ball was over the boundary line and play had stopped. YET...the officiating umpire was right there and didn’t think it worthy of a free kick!

In Sydney, it's not in the frees they get which their home umpiring advantage lies. It's in the frees you don't get that lead to their goals.

It's why they're arguably worse than WC, because in Perth you can at least see the bias borne out in the stats, but in Sydney, there's no trend so everyone thinks it's okay...

Until Carlton gets some mongrel in its game - Carlton's players will be fair game.

Newman's head was targetted purposefully by Franklin - Jones should have targetted Franklin's head purposefully in response. At the very least the ump would have been given a reason to stop and think why the response occurred - there are times when the cumulative effect of unanswered niggling needs to be addressed - Carlton doesn't ever do that as a team.

Chris Tarrant and Alex Silvagni are the only defenders to ever call Buddy out man on man and make it clear they were out to hurt him - and guess what? Buddy folded like a tissue both times.

Cant coach mongrel - players either have it or don't. Very few players at Carlton have natural mongrel in them. I look forward to the day when Carlton players look for an opportunity to physically impose themselves.

And then have Liddle come in on the conference and say that for the last 2 decades, we've takenall the shit from the AFL we're going to take. And both of them just get up and walk out.

What's the AFL going to do... treat us worse than they already do? fine us? If the AFL slapped a fine on us, I would lead a gofundme page to raise the money to pay the clubs fine with all extra money going to the club to pay for future fines of a similar sort.

I have been saying this for a while: if someone wants to duck into contact and rely upon you not smashing into them out of the goodness of your heart, make them pay for giving you the onus on their safety. If someone wants to belt you in the nuts and there's a free already paid against you, pick the little shit up and throw him over the fence.
