Huge loss for Bama.
May have to win out just to make the playoffs now.
They will be fine. They will just end up against Georgia in the SEC title game.

If they win that no way the committee leave them out. they didnt even make the SEC championship game a few years ago and made the playoffs.

What a day of sports viewing. I've had the multi screen going and watched:

Oklahoma d Texas. (shootout thriller)
Ole Miss d Arkansas (shootout thriller)

A couple of UFC bouts

Georgia d Auburn (1st three quarters... a beat down)
Iowa d Penn State. (great game)

A couple of heavyweight boxing preliminaries

Kept one eye on the baseball playoffs and saw all the decisive action between Brewers v Braves and Dodgers v Giants

Texas A&M d Alabama (great game)

... and now for the heavyweight championship of the world between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder :)

It's definitely got a little more complicated for Bama. They could have snuck through as a one loss loser in the championship game to Georgia, but now they'd need to win it.

Unless you end up with chaos in the big 10/big 12 with multiple loss champions, which is possible the way the year is playing out.

Big10 East still has 3 undefeated teams that play each other in the coming weeks, plus Penn State still in the mix.

So how far does bama drop in the rankings?
Georgia will be 1. Guessing iowa will be 2 after beating Penn State.
Cant see Cincinnati or Oklahoma jumping them so Bana at 3

They're unlikely to lose again until the SEC championship game. Who've you got beating them?
I reckon they might get rolled by any of the semi-decent SEC teams
They could lose next week @ Mississippi State

I think they might lose to Auburn in the Iron Bowl
They'll definitely get rolled by Georgia in the SEC championship game, if they get there.

...and then maybe another loss in one of the Bowl games.

It's not quite the Alabama all-round brilliance we've been accustomed to seeing over the past 6-7 years
They should've lost to Florida and they had every chance to beat the Aggies, but simply weren't good enough.

Receivers dropping balls, quarterback missing throws, linemen missing blocks,
Pass rush is lacking, linebackers missing tackles, defensive backs getting burnt

I'm tipping they'll end up 11-3 or 10-4

I'd say they'll be 5/6 this week.

Ohio the big climber for me (probably way wrong)

1 Georgia
2 Iowa
3 Oklahoma
4 Ohio State
5 Alabama
6 Cincinnati
7 Michigan
8 Oregon
9 Michigan State
10 Penn State

sport teams from Georgia never end in anything but tears. that state is cursed.

There were plenty of tears after the 1995 World Series...tears of joy for the Braves. But it did take a match up with the even more cursed Cleveland Indians Guardians for Atlanta to get their hands on a major trophy.

Great day of college pigskin.

Mate, Harsin can't devise a plan to take down a team with greater talent
He'll win what he's expected to win and that's it.

If Auburn can beat Bama during Harsin's reign I will be in complete shock..........And due to that, he'll get sacked in 2023.

Depends on how much Stetson plays at QB (J.T Daniels is supposed to be back in 3 weeks for Florida) and how long Pickens and Blaylock are out for. McConkey and Bowers have been superb to start the season but Pickens in particular is our big play target. Full strength I can't see anyone beating us. They have far exceeded my expectations so far and I am starting to believe. Having an effective running game with Zamir White producing this season has helped mitigate JT Daniels being injured.
