It should be clearer this week what needs fixing & what doesn't.
If nothing needs improving it might be ok to hold that cash but generally there are better options.

Do you have a plan for it (ie, last week I held money to get Zac Williams this week)

Some low Rd 1 scores from big names means they will be available cheaper very soon. Having cash to pull the trigger might be nice.
Ive got macrae and zerrett already, and other then that laird was the only other uber premo that really convinced me, but it's been mentioned that hewett tagged neale last week and laird is clearly adelaides best mid so would rather just hold out another week and get the cash gen of hind and stepho.

Next week I was thinking of going dow straight to a premo and clark to williams providing I don't have any forced trades again XD

Yeh definitely an option.

Just feeling like I should jump on Rowe while he is available for cash gen. And not completely sold on Stephenson. Already rocking Hind and Caldwell. Bringing in a third mid pricer even with good cash gen could be asking for issues.

But definitely options. Because yes I have mid/forwards and another playing forward in Scott.

I'm the same with Rowe (and Gulden too) - as I'm focusing mainly on cash gen this week/getting rid of shitty rookies this week and next. If you have Fantasia down back, could always flip him forward and bring Williams/Daniel/Laird/Mills in instead of Stevo up forward? If you don't have Dusty or Dunks and you don't want another mid pricer, just go the simple one and bring in one of those two and Rowe. Low risk/high reward (which is pretty much my strategy this year)

Gaff is also a proven ball winner.

Stepho has played one game in the midfield, even though he looked really good does dew really give someone who's essentially played 1 game at the level in the middle that sorta credit?

Feel like you just need to bring stepho in regardless, he scores a 70 and at worse it slows his cash gen and you need to trade him out in a month or so, but so will everybody else, massive risk to not take him on the basis of a potential tag could easily pump out another 100 plus and you've essentially missed the boat... Not a risk I'm willing to take personally.
Unless you have Degoey and can straight swap him next week...

Stepho BOG for North next last week and the most influential. Not sure they need any extra reason other than that. Where else does Miller go? If they put the clamps on Gaff they'll do it again to someone surely. Stepho almost the only one you'd bother unless they get a whole swag of names back.

I can see Stepho tanking this game then reinforcements arrive and it being a totally dud pick.. essentially wasting 2 trades for nothing...

....but I'm almost certainly going to yield to fomo and get him anyway I think. Against all better judgement I think I'll just go with the masses here and would rather stay in touch with the top than try and go against the grain too early.

Was he? By who? I have Gaff in RDT and watched that game and don't remember him being tagged by anyone, apart from his teammates who downright refused to give him the ball.
Miller was sitting on him for a bit but had a game plan around not letting him get into space for the easy chip mark, but he did get snubbed alot when i thought he was open for a mark.

The way I see it, if you dont pick him and take someone else and Stevo fails are your pick does well you are now in the same situation as those who picked Stevo last week, thus made up points in overall ranking. One thing Selby is really good at is picking the good unique option, not saying there is one there but he didnt win back to back by playing catchup with guys he missed all year long

Miller on him most of the game and any time Gaff tried to play in the middle. Tried to "break the tag" by pushing farther and farther outside.
He was so "outside" that nobody saw a point in passing it to him. Just aweful footy by Gaff. A pathetic effort. Seagulling instead of trying.

I hope that is true because I'm thinking the worst for my RDT side...hope it isn't a change in game plan where Gaff is not used as much anymore. I watched that game closely and couldn't believe how teammates were just ignoring him, especially that spud Sheed who burnt Gaff at every opportunity and just stole Gaff's role.

That's good to hear. Maybe I was just so infuriated by Gaff that I didn't see Touk near him. At least it gives him some excuse for that pathetic performance last week.

But boy o boy did he save his score in the final quarter.
I am an eagles supporter before my AFL fantasy team so always want to win if its at the expense of my eagles players, but for 3 quarters he wasnt even running to link up just the old " kick a chip to me so i can bang it down the line"
I thought the running game might help him, this bulldogs game will be very interesting to see how Gaff goes. (yes im a gaff owner)

Sheed couldnt see a teamate if it was staring him in the face, he loves the grab ball and throw it on the boot mentality, which actually isnt bad for fantasy

I think Touk dropped off whenever Gaff was content to sit in the grandstands.
Back on him as soon as he was closer to the ball.
Eagles new gamestyle is more direct (as is everyones I think?) so its a fairl smart play by GCS.
They'd almost want Gaff floating around being a seagull for the sideways chip kick. Slows up play and allows you to reset. Eagles never used that option for that reason..
.... Gaff needs to adapt or die.

Still don't know what trades to make. Got a full 30 playing and I can't find 2 players I want to get rid off. Want to give JDG another chance tonight, should I?
Team is below, any suggestions would be awesome.

Current thoughts are Danger and Scott OUT, Stephenson and Markov IN.
Seems premature to cull A.Scott but he seems like he has the worst JS out of all my rookies. But he seems safe to play this week...wouldn't mind someone like Berg getting dropped in that case.

I forgot you had De Goey. Can you please trade him out so I can get his 100+ score tonight.

Absolutely infuriating. Has such a punchable head as well. Lost count the number of times that Gaff was free on the outside to deliver an accurate kick inside 50 and instead Sheed just bombs it fwd. Who does he think he is? The ignoring of Gaff in that game was something else.

Stephenson is simultaneously a flash in the pan who's just had 1 good game and North's best asset who coaches are gonna clamp down on. Fantasy's back haha.

Fair pump up by Noble in the North presser talking about the different element he brings to their midfield and the balance he'll offer when Cunnington, Anderson etc come back. Role looks pretty good for now at least.

I wish but no, I do this thing where I just hold onto spud premos forever and eventually they are not even worth selling anymore. Like Brayspud that year, held him longer than any sensible person. Just continue to have hope for these spuds but hope is a dangerous thing, I need to remind myself of that. One more chance for JDG, he's gone if he goes sub 80 tonight

Exact same thing happened to me last season with Weller. Got him in round 3 (stupidly thinking he was a POD premo defender) then he lost 200k over a month and it seemed like a waste to trade him because he was worth next to nothing.

Something to consider for the De Goey/Dow owners like myself. We can have a look at them tonight, and plan trades around them. If both look good and we’re going to hold, trade accordingly, if 1 or both look bad, we plan our trades around leaving some cash to move them on next week. Or if De Goey is bad, and you can’t split say Caldwell/Stephenson, you can leave one this week and get the other for De Goey next week

Well that's rather scary the goal posts get farther away for the top end... Geez uber premos are going to get slaughtered out there early in the year.
Z Williams, Dumont and J Anderson’s BE all (according to Footy Wire) rise about 10 points without playing. Not much incentive to bring in Jed Anderson at a BE at 114.

Well great.. I hold you personally accountable when DeGoey scores exactly 80 tonight.
Not bad enough to get angry at. not good enough to be happy about.

I've talked myself out of Caldwell for the moment, 9 tackles to scrape to 100 is not the most positive indication. Plus I got scared off by having almost 400k in the Kitty with my original trades of Rowell and Danger to Stepho and Caldwell.

I've gone Dangero down to Stepho and Rowell to ZWill (while also moving Fantasia to the forward line so I can play fourcheep midfilders (Drew Gulden Powell and Jordon)).

Leaves me still with almost 300k for next week, but should give me the immediate reward tonight in ZWill over Caldwell. Collingwood leak points and ZWill should smash a tonne tonight and leave me 20 points better off at least than getting Caldwell. I have 300k in the bank to get Caldwell next week from Orazio or Jordon Clark if he goes big again and is a must get.
