Have to expect the rest will come at some stage and it makes sense around the half way to the bye round to give the rookies a rest if they need it.There is a balance here - but it's not completely nuts. You'll want to start culling some rookies soon, otherwise you'll never be actually improving your side.
it's just a matter of timing. With only a couple of trades per week, you cannot cull them all in one week.
If Horse decides to rest: Wicks, Warner, Campbell, Gulden etc - I'm completely screwed, so I'll need to gradually start trading them out in coming weeks - obviously trying to keep the best of them for as long as I can.

You won't be Robinson Crusoe though!
No current season stats available
Any chance Hunter will be a late in for me?Think it might be for the best, haha (and take this with a grain of salt), as I was able to pull this up on Roy's Twitter feed:

I have had just one unforced trade this year so far(1/6), It's starting to give me the shits actually.Agreed - so there is an argument for example, to cull Campbell next week (potentially, depending on the 1000 other forced trades I will need to make) - as a lesser performing mid rookie.
Drop him down - make 100K to a rookie just starting their run.
You probably won't be able to get every rookie to peak out before you trade them - it's just about timing.

Use your luxury trades wisely is the call.
This is the sort of content I come here for. After all the injury carnage and BS that's happened this far, I've ended up just calming down, letting what will be, be, and doing my two original trades anyway.
Have also traded in such a way that allows me to see Robertson's score before taking it, and having my loophole in place as a result too (took me ages to figure this out due to making the serious mistake of having Bergman in the utility position and not swapping him into the forward line when he didn't play -, but really happy once I did):
So, to start with - Coniglio > Dev Robertson (via Tom Phillips to the mids, and then Robertson to the bench with the E on him - Rowe on field)
Next, Sharp > Burgess (via Scott to the midfield bench, Briggs to the forward bench and Burgess on field with Idun coming to the bench due to the weather)
So basically, Rowe is on field right now, while Briggs who won't play sits on the bench. If Robertson has a score over 60, I flick Briggs on field and take his score. If he scores under that, I keep Rowe where he is - as he's up against North and their defence who give up goals at will -, and then flick Flynn on to the field if I want to use the loophole, with E coming off Idun onto Meek; once I know Clark is playing. Briggs going up forward also gives me maximum flexbility too with the injury cloud over Fanta.
This is what it looks like (some things are out of order - I'M SORRY TedDougChris but players are locked and there's just nothing I can do, so avert your eyes ):

Phew, absolute nightmare to figure out the best way to utilize my trades this week, but finally got there with the least risky option. If Meek doesn't play, he doesn't play.
Most of the Top 100 are pretty much in the same boat anyway, so it's not worth compromising my team/not getting out an injured high priced player in Cogs and a dud rook like Sharp out of my team, just so I can try to get out of a possible donut.
Leaves me with 422K for next week, for either a double upgrade or a down/up - depending on rookies named.
This is the sort of content I come here for.
HOWEVER, I can't see how I can do it with 2 playing rookies in the forward line...Can someone help out? Again, Bergman as UTL has killed another plan.
The only thoughts are I can do it with Clark and Idun if Laird goes into the mids.

Just Raz for me but I have Big Willy Drew who went on a 3qtr bender before lighting it up in the last 10 mins.I have Butters and Orazio from last night in classic - glad they are playing Sat night next week, the extra day of rest might be really useful...
Oops, that was meant to be a PM to Shadow89Oooh, you came here for actual content ??
Do we do that ?? Fellas ????

Noticed this too, only problem my ranking was going south at double pace and then it stopped sinking further at around the 11k mark. I started the round just outside the top1k. Hopefully I can peg back some/all of it by the end of the round.Quite a few have Drew, my rank was creeping upwards last night until he started firing in the last....
The sideways bench option vs 1 up 1 down for your failed midpricers is such a tough one. It's interesting to see most people leaning towards moving bench options on because they're not playing (those in a more luxury position)
Clark's gone up 15k in 3 weeks. A trade to Chapman or Burgess nets you 150 - 200k and a price increase next week of around 30k with probably equal job security as Clark. Feels like the extra cash banked and a new cash generator might be more beneficial than trading a dead rookie. Yeah, you lose a green dot but it's a green dot that hasn't gone anywhere with his $$ or scoring.

I remember it was only 3 weeks ago where it seemed like a good idea to go with Meek, Hunter, Flynn combo and just rotate as needed..... how things change
Yep and that’s what a select few of us were saying while most tried to say otherwise.... and now we here. The funny thing is, those who started with Draper or Witts which looked like astute decisions initially have been burned too. Can’t win unless you went set and forgetAlways going to end in tears at some stage and we all knew it
Hunter to Treacy it is and old mate Clark survives again ffs

So you're saying he'll outscore Martyn. Sounds good to me.Probably will do it but trading in Treacy hardly feels worth it. Can't see him scoring much more than 30-40
