Why disappointed? Marcus may have just done a terrific job. Not sure why that would be disappointing.

Especially as he is one that will be under pressure to perform this year. Great for him if he does.

#49 bombs a long goal for yellow, outside 50 on an angle. #48 answers for blue with a good mark and goal. I don't know who either of them are but #48 is a non-Coleman Aboriginal kid. Lots of back slapping and high fives for him, must be academy.
I think 49 is Sharp.
Photos of both

Charlie playing midfield now. Hipwood kicks one that should be impossible for a leftie kicking with a left-right breeze.

Three players down for blue, Archie Smith clutching his shoulder, staying down. Collided with TBerry who is now up.
As you mentioned Archie the last to get up out of these three

Charlie appeared to be playing all over the park, very rarely forward.
But the ball rarely got forward for the yellow team.

I agree Linc was the standout for me, played mid for a good part of the game, speed, smarts, got forward and kicked goals, he was great.
Charlie did okay for a team that got thumped. He got a bit frustrated at times as can be seen.

Agreed, fantastic:thumbsu:

The photo of the collision with TBerry holding his knee. How did he look when he got up, any signs of an issue?

He was limping as he left the field but smiling and having a laugh with the boys on the sideline shortly after so hopefully nothing too serious there. I think Nakia was involved in the same hit, came off with Berry jr and had ice wrapped around his thigh but didn't look super worried

Disappointed with Adams keeping Eric quiet.

Heard from a pretty reliable source this morning that Eric has been flying in pre-season training.

Flying!!!

Edit: tbf In the season proper - Adams may struggle to contain Eric floating up to the wing & clunking grab after grab :D
Fagan did say on SEN yesterday that Hippy has been absolutely flying this preseason! Has been working super hard!

I wouldn’t be too harsh on Hippy, the ball was very rarely forward for the yellow team. So he didn’t really have many chances.
He did kick one beautiful goal from 40-45 out, tight angle and the wind was working against him for a left footer on the angle he was.

I think I saw him? Maybe?
He was playing in defence when I saw him.
I did see him running forward later in the match. What's confusing is he's been assigned #22 but was wearing #49.

Is it too early to get on Daniher for the Coleman?
You can, he's paying $17 right now.

Nice coverage of the game Dlions & Johnny Bananas.

I used Johnny Bananas mostly for photos as they were a one line commentary that i could find a photo to go with the comment
When i got home i discovered most of the 300 photos i took were not focused correctly. Live & learn as they say.
I will leave it to others to say who played well etc as taking photos you concentrate on one thing only.
But one player appeared more in those 300 shots and right in where the action was.
That player was CEY.
This tells me he was able to at least get to contests. So maybe his fitness level is better than last year.

It was mentioned that Cockatoo came off the ground late in the game possibly cramp.
May not have been cramp as i think they are being very cautious of his hammy history.

In one of the last pre game drills he was in front of me when he collected the ball off the ground and passed it off.
He immediately walked off the ground (no limp) and spoke to trainer indicating to the right hammy area.
Went into rooms but was back out for the start of the game
I would say that they have told him not to push on if he feels a slight hammy issue but inform the medical & conditioning staff.

I am not a CEY fan and I didn’t see anything from him yesterday that will change that opinion.
He must have been there laying blocks for the blue team because the yellow team (his team) hardly won the ball.

Biggest and best take away from the hit out was the old Fitzroy training jumper on display. Outstanding. Joe Daniher playing and kicking goals isa very good sign so early in pre season. Fingers crossed he stays fit and we could have the missing piece of the puzzle right before our eyes.

I'm not surprised Zac Bailey played well. The kid is a gun with massive future.

Daniher killing it today, roving loose balls left and right. Gets his third after a handball exchange with TBerry.
In the ruck a fair bit also
Going on this smile it looks like he is enjoying his time in the ruck so that is a good thing
Maybe it was a light hearted sledge to Big O
