Offloading a Rowell and considering the following:
  • Walsh ($870K) - Underpriced coming back from injury. Cripps getting the tag now (when h's back). However, more mouths to feed with Cerra/Hewit and not sure if he can maintain that 110 output.
  • Cripps ($800K) - Assuming he comes back this week. In ripping form and underpriced. But the tag/injury prone does scare me a little.
  • Oliver ($870K) - Underpriced and less likely to be tagged now since Petracca is the form player. Can see him pushing 110 by years end.
  • Crisp ($810K) - Top3 def this year and completes my defence (Short, Whit, Dawson, Hewitt, Sicily). Not a need as Daicos can sit in D6 until years end.
  • Mills ($850K) - Bit scratchy to start the year, but seems he can get back to 110 average.

At the moment leaning towards Oliver/Mills. Thoughts?

Happy with the new DPP roles.

I've been able to do the following
  1. Move Daicos to D6 (which removes McCartin from my field
  2. Trade Rachele out to an undecided 190k rookie
  3. Move Butters to Midfield, Move Xerri to F5 (happy with this considering he averages like 80 and he was on my bench)
  4. Trade Rowell to Brayshaw
Basically I've improved my midfield and defense at the slight detriment of my forward line

I like the idea of going Crisp, and eventually rotating him to defense later in the season

But in terms of pure midfielders, i like Cripps/Walsh. Cripps still very underpriced and has a huge ceiling

Josh Daicos
Angus Brayshaw
Dyson Heppell

are my three options from a upgrade of a rook this week. All 3 have upside but not sure which way to go

I'm on the crisp wagon this week.

He'll be in my midfield for a few weeks until foley and bowey slip up.

Seems a waste but at $800k he's cheap if he can average 100.

Where do we see Zorko in the order of defence premiums? Does he challenge Crisp and Shirt for number 1? Had a reduced TOG round 1 and a bit of a shocker in Geelong, but 3 Nice tons and a good bye round
I like Zorko as a POD alternative to Crisp. I’d probably rather have Crisp but with 35% ownership need to buck the trend as teams all seem so even

Haven't seen anyone mention Parker yet. Thought he was a rather juicy fwd addition... and cheaper than heeney.

If he can go 90+ again this week he'll be in my list of targets.

Those trades felt good. Real good
  • Bowey v Chapman out was a real toss of the coin. Think it has to be Chapman purely on fixtures
  • Crouch gets a reprieve with Sloane out for an extended period. Hopefully that causes his ToG to lift. 90 minimum this week or he's on the chopping block
  • Hoping for Hughy Dixon to show he's field worthy at F6 as it'll allow me to get aggressive with Xerri down Bowey > Macrae next week
  • If Touk remembers how to tackle and Grundy remembers how to mark that would be great

Too late for Tim English? Can he maintain this 110 all season?
110 is a stretch. Think he'll average about 100 (which still makes him fairly priced).

His 9 scores under 70 last year still raises an eyebrow for me. Can't see that number making the jump all the way to 0 or even 1-2. Makes me still a bit froggish on him

Still better than the current output from Grundy....

As I traded English in as a FWD last week, it makes trading Grundy out much easier. Now have Gawnlish on field, with S Hayes, Dixon, Xerri and J Hayes as my other ruck options.

As Kozi noted, Crouch can have one more week to improve with Sloane out.

Barring, injuries, covid, Leon or Bevo that is....
