Yeah I think for me trading Foley is 'safer'. He duds it up well I'm down shit creek as he's a unique, Rowell has a higher ceiling and not everyone will be able to jump off him this week. Here's hoping he can pull his finger out.

Guys I'm keen on are Crisp and Mills, can't really afford Brayshaw or Bazlenka unfortunately. Unless I trade Ward but then I'm trading out 2 on field players for 1 which seems too much of a compromise.

I need Clark to debut I think. really want Hobbs but can’t afford decent upgrade dumping Paddy and Rowell. Hollands would be ok too but would have to field Rachele or him

Mills is my upgrade at this stage I think. Just saw he plays the Hawks. Even Dickwood got a ton against their mids

McInnes still have more money to make

Fatty McCartin could be culled for Hobbs and NOD could be D7 and Hobbs could be M8

Sam Hayes will play at least 12 games and make some money

Xerri Brodie and Martin still making money on field

Jack Hayes has one more week at F7 then Ryder is back

SDK Durdin and Skinner are heart beats

This on basis I get Hobbs as my downgrade.

Hmm I hear ya, slight concern is that I'd have Smith, Macrae, Dunkley, and Treloar..sounds crazy but it does seems they can all score together.

Understand that. Do we have any data - say, the last 5 weeks or so that suggests that they can or cannot ???

I'm also starting to look at bye structure - so I don't have 15 out in any one week around that time....

Im looking at Crouch to Newcombe too. Surprised not to see his name mentioned more with so many teams doing the same thing.

I have seen Coaches post their back 6 or mids and they are exactly as mine. Only had 1 player in the Hawks and Geelong game and my ranking only dropped a few hundred, tells me bugger all hawks are selected

One of the cornerstones of Miller's game is his tackling, he hasn't laid one over the last 2 weeks.

I read, he'd gone his whole career to date with only two tackle-less games, and has now had 2 in a row.

Maybe copped some rough treatment from Ash & De Boer rd3.
I started with him, so will not be realising my loss by trading him, but 3 weeks without a tonne hurts for his price.
I think GC need a midfield shake up.
Play Hollands & Tsitas (mature ager somewhat) for 5 weeks straight (mostly so we can trade them in at $190k, but don't upset the balance by bringing them both in the same week of course) Staggered please Stewie.

Byes..They're another aspect I'd never really planned for. Previous years I'm 20,000th overall at this stage, being 240th this year makes me feel like a fish out of water haha. Just had a look though and it seems having all the dogs wouldn't hurt at this stage, with only 8 having the round 13 bye. And like you say, the lads do love tonning up together.

We had similar discussions during the Geelong golden era - how many was too many etc ??

Personal view is try to get the best guys in as quickly as you can. If you get the starting side and early trades right - you may as well go for it... If Smith doesn't work, or gets injured - you can still pick nearly any mid in the game right now....

Yeah I think you are right. I do like Sinclair as a top 6 defender but he can wait, he's not gonna reach Smith's price so can get him further down the track. Heck I'm an early chance for a cap so I gotta get the big guns haha. Cheers ****

Yeah true, I've done it! Smith looks damn good sitting there in my guts. The only little annoyance, as there always is one with fantasy, is the fact I have to play Ralphsmith in my 22 instead of NOD.
