People sh*t on Ross Lyon but he took two of the shittest clubs in the league to the brink of success. If he can do that at St Kilda and Freo, what can he do for us? He is one guy who I reckon could provide the paradigm shift we need as a club to instill some mental toughness and bury this choker culture once and for all.

He has actual non negotiables.. case in point is players leaving because they didn't like a coach demanding they reach his standards.

He turned front running squibs like Dal Santo and Milne into tough, resilient, finals performers. Just imagine what he'd do for the likes of Rozee and Butters who appear destined to be flashy front runners who despite their talent will never achieve anything because they lack the mental toughness.

I'd imagine he wouldn't sit there making 0 changes during a prelim too. When they piled on 3 early I was expecting something to happen, the logical to me was to clog it up and throw Dixon in the ruck to have a big body around the stoppage to get it moving our way but yeah nada.

He's a shit bloke, and plays a shit brand of football. He is the Jose Mourinho of the AFL without the success.

He's coached 305 games with 2 GFs to show for it, compared to Hinkleys 200 odd games.

Ross the toss plays a very defensive game style not sure if the locals would like his style but there’s no way we would have gone down by 12 goals last night under him.
He would have had the backline stacked 10 minutes in.

If Ken did leave it's one of three for me-

1. Clarkson
2. Lyon
3. Buckley

Not that I think Ken is going to be going anywhere but the first two are ruthless, and would push the list up a level which is needed, and any player who couldn't back it would be gone, and I think Buckley tactically is a good coach with a point to prove after leaving Collingwood. It'd have to be a proven coach with a level of finals success. Of the available coaches there are only two who fit that criteria.

Id take Ross in a second over Ken.

I would gladly watch a defensive slog where our coach appeared to have some kind of tactical nous over what Ken delivers.

Our pretty boys could use a bit of Ross the Boss.

Lol at the only vote for Hinkley being a crown troll

There are 12 now, almost all tingles.

I have to admit, its a pretty funny troll lol. Honestly wish we could have more inter-club banter like this on here but at the same time can understand there are always some dickheads that would ruin it.

1. Clarkson
2. Buckley

Reality: Hinkley.

You'd be mad not to go with Clarkson. But reality tells you he can take over any club of his choice and would rather mould a young and upcoming list into something special....in Melbourne. So I'm voting Buckley. I have done a complete 180 on Nathan Buckley.

I'd be really happy with Kingsley or Schofield with one of Ross/Buckley/Clarkson as the director of coaching/mentor role.

It was great to get Ken in the early days and his mantra 'best man standing' rather than 'last man standing' during the appointment was beginning the shift out of the basket we found ourselves in. He has had his go. He has built a competitive onfield team, not a premiership winning one.

I am grateful Ken applied for the job. Grateful he gave it a go. There is enough evidence that his time at Port probably won't realise a flag.

Sometimes things don't work out - this is one of those times and it is time to move on.

In order of preference:

1. Clarkson
2. Buckley
3. Kingsley

We are stuck with Ken though unless he reads the room and falls on his sword, but why would he with all that filthy lucre coming his way over the next 2 years ...

I doubt I'll even be retiring on super worth what Hinkley would get as a 6 month payout. And then there's the rest of the money he's siphoned out of the club over the past decade.
Ken, you've done very well financially out of the club. Walk away and enjoy your twilight years, please.

the fact Clarko is currently unemployed and we don't seem to be moving heaven and earth to bring this guy in is disgraceful from us.

wants a year off my arse, i've heard that one before.
