Come on - you just made the circular argument that the AFL is fine to play at Mt Barker because the AFL said it is, as if that addresses people's complaints over playing at Mt Barker. The AFL makes plenty of decisions that are worth disagreement - what makes this one special that their decision making is beyond reproach?

You are well aware that for the AFL to play an official game at a venue there are standards for the ground, lights(if needed), and facilities that must be met. It was you that made the inane reference to Queenstown.

All of those that complain about the venue cite capacity (must be 20,000 when they are quite happy for games to be scheduled at Springfield) or that it is demeaning. Not that any of them actually intend going. I am sure the club would rather play the extra game in this year's draw at Mt. Barker against the odds on wooden spooner than 4th up at Adelaide Oval against Geelong, or someone befitting our "stature".

I will not comment further on this - it is what it is, and no amount of petulant keyboard bashing is going to change it.

Suspect proximity to the airport may be a factor as well.
Trying to make sure Richmond and Collingwood fans spend as little time in Brisbane as possible?

Hello folks, please excuse the intrusion.
As Ely Smith hasn't been offered a train on spot, has he signed on for the Lions reserves, or has he gone elsewhere?
Cheers.
