That's what we do and will be doing that this weekend.Ok. thought you could just forward on to another person but I haven't tried it for our own membership tickets. I have forwarded the guest tickets
Yea it’s normal.I saw this on the Lions website in MyLions membership section, is that normal procedure? It is part of the Membership package that you get a certain amount of free guest passes, we got a total of 18 free passes to games this season, we had 8 left to use and intended to use them for the Demons game.... bugger.
Please note that there are no free guest passes to be redeemed for the following Blockbuster matches:
Round 23
v. Melbourne Demons
Looks like you'll be stuck trying to use them for the Carlton game.I saw this on the Lions website in MyLions membership section, is that normal procedure? I thought that game was one they wouldn’t have allowed the free tickets to be used either. Being a big Melbourne club.Looks like you'll be stuck trying to use them for the Carlton game.
Ticketek must block out sections prior to a closer date and i am not talking about any pre Carlton or any opposition allocationI thought that game was one they wouldn’t have allowed the free tickets to be used either. Being a big Melbourne club.
I had a look at the tickets earlier to the Carlton game and there isn’t many left. A few single seats and 1 or 2 sections where there is a group of seats together but not many.

IIRC a sell out includes Gabba and Cricketer Club members.... most of them probably don't show up or pass on their seats.Ticketek must block out sections prior to a closer date and i am not talking about any pre Carlton or any opposition allocation
So how many people check early but don't come back later to recheck
I have been critical of how Ticketek sell AFL Gabba tickets for a few years. Especially during the 2 covid years. The Government kept changing the allocations but Ticketek never got close to the new capacity numbers
Lions have not gone close to a sellout this year
Of course people may not be going because of Covid but they can give their seats to someone else
However i imagine those numbers would not exceed 1000 at a guess
The Pies game was supposed to be a sellout 7 days out from the event
Corporate numbers and Gabba Cricket Members that turn up are dependent on expectations.
So better opposition get better attendance in those arears.
Only Ticketek would know how many seats could have been sold but were not in the so called sell out games over the years

Saleable capacity is only about 38-39,000 when you take out seats lost for the verandah and seats beside the replay screens or behind the benches with restricted views of the field.IIRC a sell out includes Gabba and Cricketer Club members.... most of them probably don't sats atsshow up or pass on their seats.
The Gabba has an official capacity of 42,000, the largest crowd the Lions have ever had at the Gabba >
The record crowd for an Australian rules football match is 37,473 between the Brisbane Lions and Richmond in the 2019 second qualifying final.

With 29k at the Bombers on a Sunday and this one to have finals implications for both teams, I expect it will. Or atleast be around the mark.Lets see if it gets past the 32,312 of the Pies sold out game
According to Ticketmaster the game against Carlton is a sell out already.
Looks very similar, I would say a safe bet. If not Marcus needs to have a DNA test done.Is the bloke in the 4th photo on the right, Marcus Adams Father or Brother or something?

Sydney always wins this and we're always up there. It's a simple fact for having a large city all to ourselves (or at least for 30 years in Sydney's case).I was unaware that the Lions were this well regarded in the "most supported AFL team" list
We did however drop -5.9% this year but still in 5th place
Still it's a little hard to believe we sit in this high position
Maybe why our membership has had a decent increase over the years along with winning of course
