I'm not going to get too carried away but damn we looked ****ing good. All my questions seemed to be answered bar the running back situation considering we didn't run a lot of standard running plays. I do wonder if that was by design as our running backs aren't as good as they have been. I just wish we had a slightly tougher schedule so we could see how good we really are.

The one thing I didn't like was the amount of 1st downs we gave up on 3rd and long. I hope the coaching staff address that going forward.

I am glad we got to see Carson Beck as he seems to be the next QB once Stetson graduates and he didn't look out of place. Did the simple things well and made some good throws. Hopefully we see a lot more of him as we blow teams out.

At least we're headed closer towards a Playoff over the College Football Invitational.

I'd rather see more of the best year on year teams play each other. Plus extra football in December.

Had the headphones in and had just finished whining to a work colleague how FSU had just coughed up what looked like a certain win after the punt fumble recovery. To then hear the LSU commentators yell kick blocked it bounced off the cross bar game over.

After LSU muffed the point return the commentators we're calling on them to let FSU score as the were going to burn the clock... 1 snap later the fumbled pitch. Crazy!

So got to see a couple of school records: 100yd Pick 6 & Braelon Allen break off a 96yd rushing TD. Comprehensive and expected rout of Illinois State. Mertz looked solid and did what he needed to do. Defense gave up a lot of chunk plays which they'll need to tidy up going forwards. But 1-0, happy days.
