It's that time of year again where the club is launching the new season Player Sponsorship program and have invited us to continue on. For the first time in a while (since I have been running it anyway) we finally seemed to shake the sponsorship curse and both our boys, Flynn Perez and Aaron Hall

, had pretty good years and played a number of games. With Clarko on board it an exciting time for the club, the hard yards are hopefully behind us and I reckon we're in for a pretty exciting ride.

The Sponsorship program is a great way to get involved and help the club raise some extra funds. It's also an opportunity to go into the draw for a number of prizes throughout the season where we get a chance to meet up with our boys and give them some feedback or gain some ITK tidbits. If you have not been involved before it is a great opportunity and a good way to meet some of the faces behind the Big Footy personas.

The other bonus is that your sponsorship donation entitles you to Big Footy membership. $50 gets Gold, $ 100 Platinum which means you can browse free from advertisements.

Everyone else who has been involved, you know the drill. Pledge an amount in increments of $50 and I will add you to the list below. I will send you a PM with banking details etc and we will go from there.

And as a mod note, can we all please ensure that pledged monies make their way to Luke and if you have over committed and need to pull out let the guys know. Once the North board have committed to players that means the money has to come from somewhere. Now this isn't targeted at anyone but I have heard some horror stories from other boards where the people volunteering their time are also dipping into their own pockets to make up shortfalls. This can of course also happen when accounts disappear or RL issues mean people don't log on so where you can, please pay as you pledge where possible.

Yeah thanks guys. Everyone’s efforts in this year on year are amazing and I reckon all other boards would envy how we consistently hit our targets.

On a personal note I have a few things planned for this year, hopefully heading O/S for a bit. I think I can pull this off. If anyone did have an interest in taking the reins send me a PM. Otherwise I will get Nate7 to continue his great work and take up the slack.

Filthy thanks, I've had a bit of a change in financial circumstances (haven't we all) so will run a tighter ship this season. Everyone has been very supportive in the past so I don't expect it to be any issue.

For those who are new to this and those who've simply forgotten what the prizes are, here are some examples.

Player signed jumpers, Syd Barker passes, season launch invites, zoom calls with players/coaches, meet and greet at a 1 on 1 event (pre CV19), Arden Lounge passes, guard of honour as the players run out, pre game locker room pass, post game locker room pass, attend a movie with the players and there's probably one or two that I've forgotten!
