Strategy 2023 Bye Round Strategy

Imo if you’re doing well for Rd 15 you’re clearly missing a gun premo or 3. That round is fuarked. I’ve done it before where I’ve traded to cover for donuts, if I can field 16 in that round I’ll be happy.

Round 15 looks absolutely brutal because it has basically knocked out an entire line.

12 of the top 15 averaging fwds are round 15 byes.

Don't think we've ever copped anything like that before.

Managed to get 20 for the first bye, actually have 21 green dots but one will be trapped at D7.

R13 is piss, only lose Stew, but will still probably make 2 trades to get to get R12 bye players in.

R14 if my currently named rookies hold I should have 20 before any trades.

R15 I look like only having 15 play, but i still have my final boost so can use 4 trades to try mitigate the damage there.

Have something similar, but a bit different visually.
Others seem to get by without it, but for me it's the best way to project it out.
Lets.you see if you're going to be able to switch blokes across lines with DPP if you need to depending on slots.you need to free up for the blokes you want to bring in, gets you thinking about realistic bring-in / trade-out price.estimates, gives you an idea of the price bands for the ins all that gear.

I'm stumped and not too sure which way to go... thoughts please.

I can trade in Ridley this week and walk out of the bye round with 5 trades left with a "completed" team
or
I can trade in Dawson instead and have 4 trades left with a "completed" team

I'm not too sure which way to go.
Obviously, Dawson is a much better SC player than Ridley, but after the bye rounds we still have 9 rounds to go - so trades are pretty precious

I've been going through the same issue between Ridley and Dawson.

I have settled on Dawson. I already have Day, and having both Day and Ridley is too speculative.

Ridley is value, but there is value popping up later in the year with Mills, Steele, and maybe even Danger?

Before any trades I'm looking at :
R12 - 18
R13 - Lots. Only missing Stewart and Humphrey.
R14 - 17
R15 - 16
This is only counting rookies that are highly likely to play.

Pretty decent. Hopefully avoid any disasters. Should be able to upgrade a few R15 rookies like Baker, Cincotta and possibly Ford aswell.

My strategy is to just trade campaigners in that are cheap and will score shit or get injured. Has worked a treat all year!

After trading S.Mitchell & Weddle = 18 max

The next couple rounds are going to be brutal for some (specifically round 15). I think those who deviate from the plan, blow unnecessary trades to get extra scores, may suffer in the long-run (for short-term gain). There's an extra round this year, if there's ever a season to hold an extra trade or 2 for a rainy day, it's this one.

I reckon 17 players in round 15 would be a good result at this stage.
