After bringing in Mills last week and him proceeding to kill my week at 1.50pm Saturday afternoon I am really only now looking at my team.

View attachment 1690732

Clearly Mills has to go and I think Chandler will need to be the other one with a BE of 70 (regretting trading Pedlar over Chandler last week right now).

Pou is my utility. Reality is with only 10k in the bank, I have 1.2m to spend on a replacement for Mills and Chandler (who would need to be on field with only JVR, Greene and Pou as replacement options )

1) Humphrey & 890k or under (Butters, Warner, Libba, Whitfield)

2) Wardlaw (S Mitchell/JVR on field) & 956k - Bont, Doc, Brayshaw, Anderson

3) Hobbs/Stringer & Kennedy

What do you guys think?

Weighing up my options for Hunt and Setters trades.
Hunt to JJ or Sharp
Setters up to Clarry or Walsh if I go Sharp or Ash/Dusty type if JJ in
Thoughts?

Still not totally decided on Whitfield and Bailey Smith vs Kennedy and Brayshaw.

Leaning towards Whitfield and Smith as I reckon Kennedy still has to be a vest risk, and probably want to see what happens to Brayshaw with Fyfe playing a full game.
Probably the way I would go as well .....have a 2nd look at Kennedy, this week

Get one of the big dogs, Clarry preferred

Cincotta, Chesser, Fahey and Johnson on extended benches, at least Simpson and Drury have kept their spots, fair chance that Wardlaw gets eased into it and is subbed.
Setterfield out is not a huge deal as he was gone next week anyway, Pickett will probably have to go too which leads to an extra rookie on field, gives me enough moolah to go Jones & Lake Pedlar > Walsh & rookie next week

Surely Sharp has two games in him which should net about 100k and then I don't care about his JS..

Humphrey and Sharp still seem the obvious two for me.

Not knevitt over humphery? 89% TOG.. Wing role.. cheaper.. ?

Just means I will be relying on SMitchell or JVR on field. I guess I can at least see how JVR goes tonight and update the Chandler trade if JVR scores well enough to get that score.

Another week of team selection that means nothing until Friday night. Have to rush trades plans from 5pm to the first game depending on who gets the axe or not

Get rid of extended benches you flogs
It sounds like clubs are arguing for 26 named until the bounce lol, might get much worse

Or they atleast want 23 + extended benches, meaning we have no clue who is going to be sub, much worse than now when we have no clue who is going to be sub but atleast they aren't in the 22

AFL will lose a lot of people if they did that IMO.

My year is already looking cooked ranked about 15k with Setters and Mills out this week. So might go for the Bombers boys with their run the next few weeks.

Setters -> Hobbs
Mills -> Merrett

Merrett only owned by 5% of Top 1000 teams, so hopefully could be a decent POD to help move back up a little.

Same reason I'm going Merrett. People are going to pile on him from next week after he goes 120 on us. May as well get 1 week ahead

Merrett and Kennedy vs Whitfield and Young/Smith??

**** it, thinking it through I'm flipping completely.

Chayce > Hobbs
Davey > Wardlaw

Wardlaw should be in until his bye which gives me cover throughout the byes, whereas Sharp would be a trade out in Rd 12 or 13 (as I think he'll be a red dot after their bye) and he'd be a trade to someone like Wardlaw anyway, so may as well skip over him. Hobbs should put on 100-150k by his bye which is a week later than Chayce's AND nets me some cash, so basically sideways-ing Chayce for $$ in the pocket, probably better scoring AND another 100-150k to put on his head before I upgrade to a premo.

Leaves me with about $70k in the bank, whereas Michalanney and Davey to Sharp and Humphrey had $130k in the bank but think I'm ok sacrificing that $60k.

Means missing Humphrey and Sharp but think I'm ok with that since both of them have their own pitfalls.

Just be wary. Wardlaw wasn't a big accumulator in the juniors. He's an upside burst type player. Then you add in all the injury issues

I'm not convinced he's going to be a must have even if he stays in the side

Reasonable. I could get Humphrey instead and he's got just as good JS but it means leaving almost nothing in the bank. Getting Hobbs for Chayce means that's reasonably ok as I still have Michalanney to cull next week for 200ish k.

EDIT: Lol 2k left in the bank if I do that. Ok might do it with Humphrey's BE and JS.
